QPL should release the "new" song as a single (physical please, not a crappy download) inorder to promote the LP - That way those tens of millions of us who don't want to fork out £10+ for an album we can all put together ourselves, can just buy the new song on its own.
The problem about a ballads album is it's going to be too slow. You need that mix of fast and slow songs on any album or any live show, otherwise it gets boring as it's all the same pace. You could easily burn your own Queen ballads CD if you're that desperate. I, for one, am not. This isn't anything to get excited about really. The Prophet's Song out-takes might be interesting to hear if they do indeed exist, but I wouldn't be shelling out for an album of old stuff to hear something I really don't need.
"I've never seen a band (Roger & Brian) that exploit their fans as much as Queen does. They will stretch as many compilations out of the same old material as they possibly can....Just repackage it, shuffle the track listing around some and release it. They ought to be ashamed of themselves for real"
Here in Brazil, was released in 1999 an album called Queen Ballads, with three Freddie's songs as bonus tracks. Don't ask me the reason of I Want It All on this compilation
For some reason, this has pushed it over the line and into ridiculous, shameless self parody for me. The compilation after compilation thing didn't phase me until now. Weird really
