I can't understand why you have to insult other people because they think different. don't like it? It's OK, i won't say anything beyond that, it's called opinion.

oh, one more thing, it's a joke, a parody, just to make that clear. It's not a full new song.

Somebody had to point out that the emperor appears to be wearing no clothes. The song is ridiculous. What a depressing waste of talent.

Somebody tell him to get the guitar back on and play something worth listening to for a change

He's toured the world 15 times over and sold hundreds of millions of records, and is long past his creative peak (as every artist experiences). I think we can agree that music is taking a back seat now for him so he can put his energy into other things. He got his PhD in astrophysics, invented a stereoscope and is an animal rights activist.
The first two were interests for him even before music took over his life. Would you be feeling the same way if he had decided purely to pursue a career in academics? Or are you just flaming him because you don't agree with or understand why he's creating this kind of song?
If that's the case, I'm sure Brian, being the gentleman he is, is respectful of the opinions of people at forums who think the direction his life takes is not something "worth listening to." But methinks he's ultimately going to live his life the way he wants to. Has he not earned that, or should he be stuck in a typecast prison created by some of his fans who refuse to see him in other capacities?
What have you done to make the world a better place lately? Did you spend more energy on that or slamming someone else who is?[/QUOTE]
Nah, still don't like it....

It was on 'Have I Got News For You' week before last and they were taking the piss out of it. Mind you, Private Eye have been supporting the farmers' side of the issue and Ian Hislop has a stake in both HIGNFY and Private Eye.
Even so, it's still ear-achingly bad. Brian's the type who thinks any publicity is good (see his views below on the Muppets version of Bo Rap). I suspect he was hoping this badger song would be some sort of Youtube/social media hit.
Brian May, lead guitarist of Queen, responded to questions of Queen's involvement in the video on his website in December 2009, stating:
“Once the idea for this recording came up, we did supply 'stems' of our own original backing track to the Muppets, so that they could effectively 'sing' with Queen. We don't often do this - it's only because of our respect for these people as artists that we'd do this. I'm sure Freddie would feel the same way ... some projects are just worthy of a proper collaboration. So .. yes .. you are hearing us play on this track - including Freddie's magnificent piano track, of course. I think it makes it all the more funny! After they'd done their bits we got the track back to OK ... I immediately thought it was brilliantly done, but I had no idea it would light such a huge bush fire. Amazing.”

I should right a couple little tunes for the Save Me presentation coming up. It'll be fun, just a little something I can put together and we can laugh about it. I'm sure no one on the Internet will take it too seriously and assume that I'm going insane.
Oh, look at this video by this Weebl fellow. It's kind of fun; maybe I'll use that.
