Could be an intermediate take from early 1986, before the strings were recorded. The sax solo also sounds like a different take.

Actually these recordings come from a townhouse studio cassette tape which ended up in the fan circuit. Like so many tapes do.

This tape features also Battle Scene.

There are at least two of these Townhouse tapes around. One has the alternate version of PISCTP.

And very associated by people what believe to be a Freddie Mercury solo song. Interesting no ?

I agree. One of Freddie's worst vocal takes ever. It has everything which makes this song terrible: cheesy keyboards, a very un-Queen sax solo, horrible programmed drums.

^ I don't think so - have always loved the song, and think Freddie's voice is awesome on it. Maybe a tad oversung lol, but stunning vocals nonetheless. RE the "very un-Queen sax solo": why should every track have a "signature" sound? There's no need to follow the same formula for every song!!

That said, one man's meat is another man's poison, eh?? :)

It's an amazing vocal performance really. It's just the instrumentals are badly chosen especially the saxophone.
