BR is maybe not the greatest solo in Rock history but should not lose vs Metallica imo

It's only "boring" because you've heard it so often.
Go put "Live Killers" on and tell me that it bores you!

I only listened to the live killers version recently. I forgot what a good solo it was and I didn't become bored at all, even though I get bored listening to the 5 minute ones.

I prefer the record version to live.
The vast majority of the crowd in a Queen concert would have been bored during Brian's solos.
Can anyone who saw Queen comment on this? I'm just stating what I think might have been the case.

Oh, these polls..........still?

As credible and interesting as the voting for the starters in Major League Baseball's All-Star game.

A person can vote up to 35 times per day from each of their email accounts. Yes, I said 35 times.

The starters will not be determined by how well they play, or voting of their peers. They will be determined by those who have nothing better to do from their parents' basement.

Pardon me, gotta dash, mom's calling me up for supper.

I've loved every version of the BR solo I've heard - and it's been many. And when it merged into Last Horizon it was still very nice.

Bored? Not likely.

Bored, hearing Brighton Rock live? Definitely not!
After seeing Queen and Brian solo Brighton Rock and I'm In love With My Car was the main reason to go see Queen + PR ....
Paul is a great singer but I went to those gigs to experience those songs. A song like Brighton Rock you have to see live and feel those amplifiers .
Live Killers is the best recorded version in my opinion (so is I'm In love With My Car).
We must all see to believe...

Really? If anything seeing it live would be the most interesting thing IMO. A concert atmosphere, everyone having a good time, I don't see how the solo would be boring in that situation. Unless it was like 30 minutes long or something *cough* Bonham *cough*

I think the live versions are cool. The studio version is great and all, but don't think it's the Brian's best by any means.

what? not even the original - from the "Smile LP"?
you know the one used in "Blag" - because that f**cking solo was dull as fuck back then, and has never improved beyond the limits of Bri's own over-self-indulgent desires

Fade to Black is my favorite song by Metallica and I absolutely love its guitar solo to death. It's a shame that it had to lose to Brighton Rock when Brian has many better-thought-out solos in his extensive catalogue of brilliance.
