Are you absolutely 100% sure about that, splick? Have you actually talked to GT *in person* long enough, particularly on any given topic where common grounds are shared?
Just because someone may display a quiet, more humbled persona doesn't necessarily mean they're not opinionated on anything in particular - some may just natually choose to be quieter on their personal views, and others like Greg can have a more extroverted manner of expressing themselves.
Of course, those with shallow mindsets may not always recognize the dynamics between those kinds of qualities, which is unfortunate. But what do you expect, really.

Fuller was just an opportunist, kinda full of it,., but GB,,,, oh

GB May, be the worst thing that ever happened to the link between the Queen World and his fans , since.... Paul Prenter maybe...?

He's bad PR...

And sadly... since Brian is Old an annoying, heavily trying to rewrite history, the only ones losing with all this are the people who pay their salary: the fans.

But you know what?, its our own fault, because we as fans allow this primaddonna behavior in people too old to be playing Kid's games
Life is real. so real.

No, not spoken to GT. I'm speaking as I find on the forum.

I understand the sentiment here but don't forget, all the Prenter stuff is just one side of the story. Fred would certainly have a different take on it.
Rog & Brian were basically seeing their meal ticket going off on his own merry way and were impotent as to what to do about it. So best form of defence? Attack.
Similar to some behaviours on this forum.

I figured as much, incidentally going by my own observation (and experience) as well.

Does this thread not clearly show exactly WHY there needs to be some form of moderation on this board?

I can see your point. A good comparison is between GB and Rhys Thomas;

both huge fans of the band that have been lucky enough to work with/for them.

One comes across as open, enthusiastic and genuinely keen to tell us useful info when engaging in chat; the other comes across as defensive, aggressive and sarcastic.

One has so far in a relatively short term persuaded the band to releases lots of rare nuggets to include in two works class documentaries he has produced, and given us really good info on what else could possibly come out; the other has spent 20 years making incomplete lists, asking us to do half his job, released a book that allegedly 'borrows' heavily from others' work, and launched a YouTube channel that can't feature any Queen music.

Like other posters, I have never met either Greg or Rhys, but engaged (far more successfully with Rhys) with both on public forums and Twitter etc and can only base my opinions on a fair and equal opinion in what I have experienced.

"Once compared to Led Zep. Now the guitarist plays with Dappy"

I've never seen it put so succinctly.

43 years old here. Was at Knebworth. Owns every album on vinyl. The CDs, the American CDs, the entire collection of double Cd reissues.

And GB?

Ban me if you want but the way you speak in the second post in this thread? Reminiscent of the way the band treat the fans. Our money put the band where it is now. Our adoration got the mansions, the rewards, the multi million pound bank balances.

And yes, we got some wonderful moments in return. And we will ever be grateful.

But now we are talking about a band who thinks putting a few tracks on an EP makes a "deluxe" edition. And then releases yet another Magic era Cd and DVD.

Remember the love and attention given to the WONDERFUL Freddie box set? Where is that now? All you and the band care about now is making another few 0's on the bank balance - and making as much money out of us as possible.

And when someone tried to give us genuine fans something new - you go after them like a rabid Rottweiler.

GB - I don't expect you to actually CARE, but I have never ever felt so disillusioned with a band as I do with Queen. What happened? That bond between band and fans. That attention to detail? That effort to provide something special?

I sometimes wish I could turn off my 35 years of fandom, but I can't.

And of course you know that.

I shall stand by for your rude, patronising, nasty response. :(
