I just listened to this again yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. Some parts really sound great - impressive for a mid-70s outdoor audience tape.
This definitely reveals that Queen didn't have an off day, as people have tended to believe and write about. There are a few slight blips in the performance, but nothing worse than anything else from the era. The audio mix on the video is brutally bad. A bad recording can make even a great band sound bad.
Mercury's voice is in great shape, and by the end he is beaming with confidence after a somewhat tentative start (absolutely killer version of Liar). Needless to say, this was a very important show in their development as a band.
It'd be brilliant to hear the audience master tape, but this will do for now.

The great performance and remarkebly good performance make this recording essential in any Queen llive recordings collection (certainly given the importance of this show!).

I agree with you !
The Hyde Park show was spetacular and very particular performance of the band, delivering a stunning gig for me. Sweet Lady, The Prophets song ( yeah, I like that version), Flick of the wrist (stupend), You're my best friend, Liar, In the lap of the Gods revisited, etc...
