It's not just you. It definitely looks like the signs of HIV/AIDS were already starting to show by then, and yet in October that year he seemed more vibrant at the mimed La Nit Festival appearance. This was probably an off day for him, at least thankfully not in terms of vocal performance :-/

Yeah he looks tired...and the white make-up- doesn`t make it better. Probably he uses it to cover his KS stains ?
On the other fotos I know ( while he was performing), he looks more "vital"
Later that year he lost his voice( tempoary) before the "la Nit" event.
