No chance of a WAV upload my friend? Splitting and re-encoding from an MP3 is going to introduce more artifacts to the sound :-/

Soon ill Upload the wav or flac version this is my first try encoding :)
· Member since
Ahh OK! FLAC would be probably better for you if you're already knowledgeable how to use it for encoding, it'll save you more time to upload it as opposed to WAV :-)

Listening to the MP3...it's pretty heavy on the encoding artifacts unfortunately, but beyond that it seems the master recording quality is actually pretty good!! Once you upload the lossless version, I'll get my buddy Jimmy to remaster the audio to improve on the quality (much like he did with Earl's Court '77) :-)

EDIT: The recording also seems to be running pretty hot, it's clipping and distorting quite a fair bit and I can see that on my foobar2000 display. Were you watching the sound levels when doing the cassette > digital transfer?

Before you have him encode the show, can you please check the digital transfer and see if it's clipping like that to begin with?
You might need to redo the transfer and ensure it doesn't peak above -3dB on average.

Otherwise, I can offer otherwise to do a new clean transfer if you're willing to ship the cassette my way. I'll even cover postage by registered mail and all, if you're cool with that :-)
