Hi, I'm new here and haven't introduced myself yet...but have to respond here because I think I understand the sadness the original poster feels.

having lost my father very suddenly I know the thoughts that go through your mind are whether that process was as easy as possible.

I was really sad when Freddie died and I'm old enough to remember him very much alive in the world. All my family love him and Queen.

Original poster I think your answers lie in Jim Hutton's and Peter Freestone's books (2 separate books).

As I remember Jim stated that Freddie was given morphine earlier in the day. It was given to stop pain. It was a compassionate act. He didn't die 30 mins later. He had a whole day, Dave Clark and Mary visited, etc.

Freestone's book talks about how morphine gave Freddie nausea so he avoided it, but at times was given it alongside anti sickness medication to stop those effects. His doctor would have known this, and no doubt would have given him something to stop any discomfort. His doctor knew him since the 70's, Freddie would have trusted this man and would have discussed what was likely to have been given to him at the end.

Death never comes conveniently, for anyone. Think of all the good that Freddie achieved in his life and let's be pleased for him. :-)

-I did go back and re-read Jim Hutton's book, and realize there was a bigger gap between the morphine injection and his death than I realize. I also do remember both books saying he had an allergy but they both seemed to indicate that it made him extremely nauseous. I know his doctor was a friend and I assume he knew best as for what to do to help Freddie. In the end I think Freddie took a horrible turn for the worse once the press statement was released. Whether it was "giving up" or acceptance..he was ready to go I suppose

- I instinctively use scissors with my right hand, because as a child that's how we were taught because there aren't any left handed scissors. As a left hander, I feel that having the 'left' forced out of you' would still leave some innate characteristics within the individual, even though all other daily activities are done with the right hand. I would never have thought as Freddie as left handed except for the fact that this is what everything on the internet seems to think!!!

On this network people are sharing the discussion about the theories that are relevant. Thus it is said that ukwritings reviews are giving the best opportunities to present and get the advantages from them.
