Any idea as to who plays on it, other than Roger?

Hopefully he'll go back to his "Fun in Space" days and plays most instruments himself. I love that about Fun in Space and it's a bit of a turn-off for me to hear Jason Falloon, Keith Prior or whoever toured with him back in the 90's.

I think a little bit of wee came out when I heard that snare drum!

Tune. Mr Taylor is like wine, the older the better.

You are rattling them out tonight that's for sure!

Anyone notice the 'pleasant and friendly vibe' here over the last few hours - certainly on some posts like this - inspired by Roger's new single and the excitement surrounding Fun on Earth and The Lot?

If that teaches Brian and Roger anything then it's that they should release new stuff if only just to turn this place into a love-in and stop us all fighting for at least a few hours! :-)

That was great! Radically different from the original, for sure. The lyrics have more of a Roger Waters (on a happy day) kind of vibe now :-)

Wow, great track. It's got a bit of a psychedelic and Motown thing happening.

I had no doubt Roger would deliver, but fuck me he's delivering.

I really liked it.
Funny how his lead single back in 1998 was a song about having the Pressure on, feeling and growing older, etc. He was 49.
He's now 64 and the song sounds so fresh, joyful... happy.

Also, If I'm not mistaken when the original Felix and Arty song came out he wasn't with Sarina. (although he had already split with Debbie, didn't he?).

Maybe this prompted him to re-write the song with a different mood?

Roger and Sarina started dating in 2002, so I'd say a lot of his "love" songs since then were inspired by her.

Also, I believe that sounds like Jeff Beck on guitar.

It's very average. Pleasant but hardly deserving of all the gushing praise above. Still, I'm looking forward to the album.

I'm with Holly.

The song is utterly mediocre, which is to be expected. I'm amazed that so many of you seem to think it's something special. It absolutely isn't.

I prefer the original which, whilst still not actually really being any good, was at least quirky and caught your attention. This version just washes over you in a wave of blandness. The melody's been lost and the song has no hook to it. And the less said about Roger's obsession with robo-background-vocals the better.
