new dark ages/las polabras de amore

why did the cross use the same cover less the birds as queen? I always find it such an odd random kinda cover. and reminds me of the muse art for absolution don't you think?

A little correction: It´s "Las palabras de amor" not "Las polabras de amore"... "Amore" means "Love" in Italian not in Spanish.

One of the worst songs by Queen to me...
Freddie sang better spanish in Ensueño and Barcelona, too much better.

Do we know if it was a 'stock' photo, or is the baby someone known to the band??

I seem to remember that the cross version with the birds was meant to be LPDA cover but LPDA cover was changed for release so I just assumed Roger preferred the original so decided to use it.

I've never heard that before. It's gotta be bollocks, hasn't it?

There once was a rumour that John took strong exception to the idea Freddie be asked to sing New Dark Ages. Whatever happened to that rumour? I assume it's wishful thinking.
