The best songs judging from these previews:

- Smile
- Sunny Day
- Small
- Unblinking Eye
- Drummer in a rock'n roll band

The songs above are absolutely fantastic to my ears. My concern about the album is the amount of slower tracks. I think the album would have been more balanced if he dumped some of the slow tracks, and released them as b-sides or downloads. I think he should have rearranged the track order to "catch the listener too.

I would have chosen these tracks, in this order:

1. Drummer in a rock'n roll band
2. Smile
3. Up
4. Be my gal
5. Be with you
6. Small
7. Sunny Day
8. Unblinking Eye

Songs ditched: Say its not true, Quality Street, Fight Club, I dont care and one night stand.

I feel that this trackorder gives the album more balance between slower and faster songs. I also think that some of the weaker tracks are better suited for b-side or download treatment.

Feel free to make your song order :)
Basically blind em and deaf em in the first 10 minutes, and while they are recovering from that put in the less good songs

As we know there has been two "singles" or previews for Fun on earth. Unblinking Eye and Sunny Day. I think he could have chosen differently judging from the previews.

1st single : Drummer in a rock'n roll band

I think a single should be a song that single out a bit, obviously. . A single should be catchy, and something that people pay attention to. I am a bit worried that a slow single will just pass by as another one in the mass. I love the attitude of this song. It has some great verses plus a chorus that is easy to remember and sticks to mind a bit.

2nd single: Smile
The song has great verses along with chorus that really sticks with me. I also like the instrumental bits in between.

That Kangaroo who went to sleep in the chemist shop is probably to blame; either that or David Warner decided to try to make a few new friends again by buggering it up.

Aussies.........gotta love 'em.[/QUOTE]

I blame Abbot.

From the samples it's what I expected.

Great production and arranging but very weak songs, both music and lyrics.

Sunny Day is really nice on the first 2 or 3 plays but I can't listen to it any more. Far too sugary and the lyric is cringe-worthy,

I'm a drummer isn't too bad.

No surprises.
No Freddie, No John.....No Queen
