Interesting to see an alternate tracklisting for The Miracle, including All God's People...

Some of the rejected song titles are interesting:

She Belongs To Me
Broken Things
The Big Time
Crusade Of Love (Die For Love)
Bells On Your Fingers
Bleeding Hearts
Hellfire Club (Shove It)
Dreams Of Leaving
Who The Hell Are You
Sex As A Weapon
(When) Thunder Breaks Through
A Long Day's Journey Into Nightlife
Over My Dead Body

And the songs Roger had written for Strange Frontier as of May 21, 1983, before he retooled it and added some others:

Love Hope And Confusion
Beautiful Dreams
It's An Illusion
Masters Of War
Keep On Running
Strange Frontier
Young Love
I Wanna Take You Higher
Turn On The Power
Sun And Steel (?)
Been To Spain (?)
Two Sharp Penciles
All Your Dreams Will Come True
Racing In The Street

Plus, his note about Olympic Theme:
"No Restrictions. Damn Good Tune That People Could Hum."

Very cool!

The tracks I wanted in a quality release was Roger doing Foxy Lady. That is a great version. Also, the versions of I Am the Walrus and Jealous Guy

I'm presuming that Foxy Lady will be included on the 'Mad,Bad...' album as it will be the CD version, not the vinyl release? Then again, the Queen reissues weren't based on the CD versions so that's no guarantee.

Agreed with Brian's Wig...I am Very Disappointed in what is included, could have included so much more, like "Keep On Running" & Even the "Reaction" Acetates...
not if the other Reaction members failed to agree. you can't force people
Yes, But money talks, I would have thought that any old ex-member of a band that featured Roger Taylor & Knowing that the tracks are not really rare anymore & just a little look around the internet, people can download them for FREE!!!! I would think that any ex-member of "The Reaction" would jump on the band wagon & at least recoup a little money for their efforts of ages past...
but you're making assumptions - which is always dangerous. i can think of several potential reasons for an ex-reaction member having not signed up to this:

1. death
2. not being mentally capable of signing a legal document
3. deciding to be awkward
4. not being happy with any proposed deal
5. being "off the grid" and therefore not contactable

UPDATE: Just read the new press release, which unsurprisingly is wrong somewhere, and again has the usual proof reading fuckwittery.

The one on QOL says 'Foxy Lady' IS on 'Mad, Bad...' but the one on the official Queen Facebook EXCLUDES 'Foxy Lady'.

I'm guessing that as it says the set contains "8 original CD albums", 'Foxy Lady' will be there as it was on the 'original CD' of 'Mad, Bad...'

'Shove It' is listed to contain 'The Second Shelf Mix' which was only on the CD release so 'Foxy Lady' should be there on these grounds.

Plus Fun On Earth is listed on FB as exclusive box set version but then shows only the same 13 track 'standard' version!!

The usual inconsistencies and errors in pre release info - what a bunch of tools.

There would be no reason to include tracks recorded by The Reaction or any other of RT's pre-Queen bands. This is a set that covers RT's own solo years and The Cross. The same reason as to why there is no tracks by other artists where RT contributed music, vocals or writing and production.

Ive ordered my copy from QOL :) Yay...cant wait...I agree with GT, I wouldnt be expecting anything other than The Cross and Roger Taylor solo stuff, and having only 3 of the albums myself this will be a great way to get a handsome box set with all of the albums and some extras too :) and if im lucky a framed print with RT`s autograph..(well someones got to win it)

Hi Greg, do you know why Foxy Lady is not included in the MB&DTK or Cross Singles CD?, problems with copyrights?

GT, and what are the reasons for:

1. inclusion 'Heaven For Everyone (Freddie vocal)' twice
2. inclusion of 'Shove It (extended version)' twice
3. not inclusion of 'Keep On Running' and 'I Wanna Take You Higher'
4. waste space for useless edits and some Nazis remixes instead of additional live material for example.
5. not inclusion of 'I Wanna Testify' and 'Future Management' TV performances on DVD

Yep, that's perfectly fine Gary.
Whilst I applaud Roger for including some of the unreleased tracks which have been widely bootlegged for the last decade, it's a huge disappointment that there weren't more of them.
We KNOW Roger recorded a bunch of tracks for Strange Frontier that never made it, so where are they?

Perhaps at least you could confirm that all of the albums HAVE been remastered for this release please....?

I would imagine that from a business standpoint (like I THINK Roger said) was that they wanted to do some type of re-release to get his catalog back in print. In terms of things that we were hoping to get that are rare or unreleasedI would imagine that either a future release will contain them or a re-re-release of this in a decade or so. It makes quite a bit of sense to do what he is doing now. It's really exciting as I would have thought from a strategic point of view it could have been a decade or two before any type of Roger Taylor box got released if they were going to do a series of Queen box sets first. So at this time "The Lot" is very exciting "as is" as far as I am concerned. It's REALLY cool that there is any type of extra stuff in this compilation as it is as a decade ago things like this rarely if ever happened before for anyone. I just hope that this sells well and we see some type of release date for Hollywood Records of which if I recall correctly has already been stated that they WILL release this as well. I. Just. Don't. Know. When.

So no I Want To Break Free and Ride The Wild Wind live versions... what a pity!

RT didn't want any Queen tracks on The Lot, which is understandable.

BTW...And the DVD? Does anybody know the final tracklist?
· Member since
Gary, would you please be so kind of confirming why the US version of Shove It appears as the last TC Singles Vol 2 track? Is that because it was a last minute addition?

Also, is my statement correct if I say that the Testify & FM videos are not in the DVD due to copyright issues with the TV stations?

Thanks. :-)
