A brief review...I have listened to the album 3 or 4 times
now, but without really focussing on the music (hat
a date last night at my place so I had to cook dinner etc...).

Songs I really like by now are

i don't care
I'm the Drummer
Up

I think it's a pitty that I'm the Drummer has not been the
lead 'Single' and the opener. Overall the album is very
quite and relaxed. I think it needs a couple of runs to
give a really fair review. I think people who likes happiness and electric fire will like fun on eart too.
It's a Roger Taylor effort...nothing to compare to
Queen or his work in Queen in my opinion. For that it is
ok. Don't expect any magic.

Today I received The Lot, so I listened to that version of Fun On Earth.

It has the 2 extra tracks, but on the backside of the box where all the albums are listed, the tracklisting is switched.

it says 14: Dear Mr Murdoch
and 15: Whole House Rockin'

but on the cd it's the other way around.

. THOUGH I hope he, John deacon and Fred Mandel got a cut out of Muse's "madness" for its deliberate theft.
How is that? Fred Mandel? Can you explain?
I was just joking at Roger's friendship with the band MUSE. The guitar solo isn't exactly RIPPED OFF but it is clearly derivative of the synth solo that Fred Mandel performed on "I want to break free"

(A John deacon song)

Maybe it was just an inside joke. Sure as hell sounds derivative to me.

Oh! OK, thanks for the answer.

First impressions: "Meh."

Up is great. Smile is beautiful. I prefer the old version of Unblinking Eye, much more agressively sung. My first impression for a lot of the tracks is "Nice b-side.".

Basically blind em and deaf em in the first 10 minutes, and while they are recovering from that put in the less good songs
