That's basically the exact sequence of dates and events I have experienced. It isn't Amazon's fault I don't think, they can only go on what Universal are telling them, who presumably are working from whatever information is coming from the team responsible for creating (and correcting) the product.

Pleb - someone on here posted they got their set the other day and they ordered after you (but before me). Just sent this to Emma :

Hi Emma.

Before I start, please don't take anything I am about to say as being against you. You have been really really helpful all the way through this debacle and if everyone involved had your customer centric attitude then I wouldn't be about to write what I am about to write.

I got contact from amazon today who confirmed that yet again the record company promised them stock and then didn't deliver. That's three times now.

I have been a Queen fan for so long I actually saw them live with Freddie, and the amount of money I have poured into the coffers over the years with box sets, limited editions, re-releases, re-masters etc etc.

It just seems lately that the concern for fans has got less and less and the quality of releases poorer and poorer. I didn't think I'd ever see a Roger Taylor release like this, and his work (the best body of solo work anyone In the band has produced) deserves better than such a poor release. I was so excited when it was announced, and the whole thing has just gone sour. And the lack of information given to fans is just typical of the lack of consideration. Promises of releases not fulfilled, people like me (and many others on forums) just desperate for some information. Will we get it for Christmas presents or not? People are just being kept in the dark.

I just feel that whoever is in charge of releases like this think the fans will just put up with it. This was my birthday present to myself, and I feel now like I'm almost begging (Roger? the record company?) to take my money and sell me something.

I am afraid I am no longer going to bother. I am fed up with feeling that I am hassling you, and daily refreshing of my amazon page, and pleading for some nugget of information, or begging to be allowed to buy a product.

I have cancelled my order and it seems clear that if Queen Online had any concept of customer service they would have reserved a copy as you had requested.

I am really quite sad. I know that the band is a company and a corporation and one person taking this action is going to make no difference - but I am really totally and completely disillusioned with Queen and related releases. A feeling that has been building for some time. But this debacle has put me over the edge.

Thanks anyway. You have been very helpful :)

Quite sad about this release, it promised so much. My amazon account still says due tomorrow.
Even though their customer rep says they didn’t receive any stock. I realise that it is Universal that’s responsible for getting their stock to amazon, but with amazon’s buying power you would think they could put some pressure on universal. And nail them down to a definite release date. My only option at the minute is downloading from iTunes, but the thought of giving money to apple. Makes me even angrier. Got most of this stuff on vinyl anyway. Just have to keep listening the old fashioned way.
Sorry that you’re so disillusioned cockeye.

Exactly the same as mine. We can hope and pray that our copies have arrived but like you not holding my breath.
We're awaiting a revised estimate from our supplier, and will email you as soon as we receive this information.

I think it's scandalous that they have continued to sell on iTunes when they know all about the audio errors on some tracks, unless of course anyone can confirm if the audio glitches on the download versions have been corrected?

Still not corrected on Spotify I know that much.

Just got same amazon email.

One thing I'll say for Emma, she already responded! It's 9:30pm here!!

She wants me to give her 48 hours and says she will investigate what's going on at Amazon for me as well.

I have to say that Amazon.co.uk are utterly unprofessional and full of shit.
I too got that same email saying they are trying to obtain stock and it's a crock of shit.
I checked their listings today for The Lot and it clearly said x number of copies in stock and the sales price was £138!
It seems to me that they've received stock and instead of honouring and fulfilling cheaper pre-orders, they've decided to flog them at a higher price to anyone who ordered today.

You're talking bullshit. There are two in stock at that price and they are being sold by a third party seller in Berlin. It's made perfectly clear.

Hang on mate. The listing said Amazon had it in stock, not some seller in Berlin.
If I do a search for it now I get nothing because the listing has been pulled.

EDIT:
I've just done another search and have found the Berlin listings by choosing the "Audio CD" link next to the digital sales listing.
Those are £162, not £138.

But amazon never state stock levels in unless they have very few left. They did have it VERY briefly at £138 a few weeks ago but only for a day or so.

I would suggest you were maybe seeing a cached page?

Yesterday it was available from a marketplace seller for £138, it had a green "only 2 left in stock" message, but it said something like "in stock and sold and dispatched by Hurricane Records". Later on it went up to £162, that was when there were only used copies left.

Amazon were not selling it themselves for £138 yesterday.

Thought so......it was perfectly clear. Amazon are blameless in this IMHO

I've just had a new email from Amazon stating expected delivery 19 Dec!!! Have they had a sudden stock influx from Universal?!?

Just received an email from Emma, my replacement boxset has been sent today, but it will take a while to arrive to the Netherlands... Anyone else?
Why is the email address being given out for Michelle Noble and yet people talk about Emma? I finally have time to deal with this but am now confused who I'm supposed to email. Can someone be clear please? Do I email Michelle and end up talking to Emma?
