You are right track 3 of Happiness still remains, it might be correct but I have listened to track 2 into track 3 really loud and it feels like track 2 is cut short between 3-4 seconds

yes kruger this is the corrected box by going on the matrix numbers and sticker on the box.

Back on the Mac know with iTunes.
iTunes picks up Fun In Space and Strange Frontier as the 1996 remasters.

8.) I Can't Get You Out Of My Head - count in chords badly edited out, causing a slight cut to the beginning of the song. (Not corrected)

I can't hear the count in, the cords I hear sounds like part of the tune

^ The count in chords are still missing, as already stated in post #1.

Does the corrected box set have the 1996 master of Fun in Space without the damaged tape speed change? Or did ITunes just play the 1996 master instead of "The Lot" version?

Has anyone from North America that ordered from Amazon.CA received either version of The Lot?

Who uses the auto-tag function of iTunes anyway :)
I am always too scared that there are errors in the tags which affect my plays at last.fm

The Lot does NOT contain ANY 1996 remasters, all are from 2013.
Fun In Space is the same wobbly version on both issues of 'The Lot'.

Solo Singles Disc 2. The text reads all the stuff from Solo Singles Disc 1 - yet plays the tracks from Disc 2. :(
Fun On Earth Extra Tracks text is 'unknown' for both.

What program on your PC gives you this info?

I have not posted on here for SO long even though I visit everyday. The main reason is because of all the bitching and the school playground mentality of a few on here which is such a shame when there are some brilliant and knowledgeable contributors.

I have to say this thread has been excellent and I have to congratulate everyone involved and in particular Victor Kruger...good work guys.

I ordered my box from Amazon.co.uk on 27th October and received it Thursday 19th December. Due to circumstances I won't bore you with I will only be opening it today. I really couldn't believe some of the basic errors that occurred in this set and the lack of quality control at all stages but it seems like box 2 is a massive step in the right direction and again well done to you guys for raising the issues.

I really never thought we would ever have a Roger Taylor box set so I must say I am still very happy to have just received it and it looks fab. Let's hope lessons can be learned from this release (although that's a big ask) and that some day we may get some Queen releases that we the fans deserve and the bands legacy commands.

Keep up the good work chaps, I'm off to open my box!

Probably not worth reporting as an error so much since what I'm about to mention can't be easily fixed, but thought I should mention that "I Wanna Testify" seems to suffer from tape 'print-through' (sadly an issue with whatever batch of tapes they were using in '77, as you can now hear in recent multi-track transfers), as you can faintly hear a few seconds of the song coming in a few seconds earlier in real time during the quieter parts.

"Keep A Knockin'" is missing the first second on the remastered version (you could hear the bass player gripping on the frets right before the drums kick in)

Actually "Keep A Knockin'" was not properly mastered for original CD single in 1998. Unbalanced EQ, low volume of the track etc...

So now in 2013 K.Metcalfe (or J.J.M.) cut off this pre-song noise for the release.

Am still wondering about the Nude Mix of Murdoch vs the 2011 version of Murdoch. Are they both the same? I guess that this hasnt been corrected? Nor was it ever mentioned as being an error on page 1 of this topic (so maybe I am just deaf and dont hear the (very) small differences).
Just an update on this, GT has replied to my question on another thread asking if they are the same.
This was the reply...

I am informed by Josh that that are different.

It seems to be the same mix, so until such time as this is explained it shall appear in post #1 as a disc error.

That would explain why it always sounded so weak then!
