I just had a listen to My Country I & II and I have no idea where the extra 10 secs are coming from, thus thinking that the speed is a bit slower on this new remaster? Also, the tape that they used sometimes sounds a bit wobbly like ie at 5:20 (which is 5:13 on the 1996 remaster), it sounds like the speed goes down and up again very fast. The intro also sounds rather slow which might confirm that this song runs slower (unless the 1996 remaster was sped up a bit).

The Life Changes error is just ridiculous. It just stops near the end, then there's 2 secs of silence and then the single version kicks in and fades out.

I don't expect the discs will be updated/corrected, but at least the artwork corrections could be made and the missing bits of booklet put back in.

Again, it's the lack of recognition of the errors by those responsible that is as annoying as there being errors in the first place.

Not to mention the nude mix of Dear Mr. Murdoch is the same as the 2011 version.

Anyway, the fans will always criticise. We all have different opinions on what audio and video should have been included, how the physical format should have been, which photos should have been used, etc. There's no way you can make everybody happy with a selection of material - no matter how big it is.

That said, I believe some of the Queen-related products have a serious lack of quality control.

Yes. We will always argue over what should be included and what shouldn't, but massive cock ups like "Life Changes" are simply not acceptable and a replacement disc service should be offered ASAP.

Indeed. Why pay good money for a boxset just to end up getting shafted?

Again...a corrected DVD is the most important Thing inside this Box-Set! Finally a huge Video-Clip Collection & then....huge disappointment.

Greg Brooks and Gary Taylor are supposed to be huge Queen fans and are well aware of possible/probable criticisms, yet this happens again. No one checked the masters prior to manufacture or tested the discs prior to distribution? Really? No one proof read the liner notes?

Heads should roll for stuff like this, but of course they won't. Who doesn't want amateurs working for them, eh?

Just had call from Amazon. They are completely unable to confirm whether they have any stock or whether I will get the item.

It's funny that the purpose of "The Lot" was to comprise all Roger's solo work, including the website only "One Night Stand" 1998 track, and now they "release" something new not included anywhere else than on their 2013 site, not even as a FOE box-only bonus, but instead they threw on there a song that is not only a 1994 re-worked tune, but also is already on another disc from the same box!

Why should we want that one as a bonus track when it's exclusive to the same box where that song has been exclusively included in!?

On a side not, just ONE proper listen to the "Blue Rock" CD would have spotted the error. Just ONE listen. Among all the RT team, no-one has taken the time to listen to the full disc even once? Totally lack of quality control.

Since this release has been directed towards the hardcore Queen fans, they should have recluted ten of them (I could easily propose my candidates in a blink) and I can assure you that The Lot would have been faultless in all senses (quality audio production and correct track splitting, discs contents, non-duplicated stuff, accurate info on booklets, lack of typos, non-missing pages, well produced DVD's, mastering, etc).

It still annoys me why Murdoch 2011 is there as a FOE bonus track instead of "The Shores Of Fermentera" or the unreleased "When We Were Young". It also annoys me the duplicated "Shove It" extended mixes and the "HFE" versions by Freddie, but no "Keep On Running" or "I Wanna Take You Higher".

I do not have the box yet and I am still anxiously waiting for it, but if the RT team would have accepted some input from a couple of experts (I have no doubts that many fans from these forums are bigger experts than them), "The Lot" would have had the full glory release that it deserved.

Maybe marketing strategy to sell the same box twice. The error box and then the fixed box
my english is shit, but i don't care ;)

Will await my Amazon order. Then record the discs and return "stating too many factory errors and not as described I'm afraid.

Just had a look at the lyrics included in the CD release of Shove It and you would need magnifaying glass to read them ,Strange Frontier was not much better when it was first put out on CD as was Fun In Space.I think that the people who are sending their box sets back are to be comended for trying to get things put right. However i think that they my not end up with anything but a refund of their money and they will miss out on this in parts fantastic CD box set..Listen to orginal Fun In Space and compare to new mix/remaster worth the money for the solo albums alone.
