I'd say it's barely likely to be legit. Kinda looks like something Freddie may have signed in a hurry.

There are lots of factors you'd need to consider - one being what Inu has said above. Others are what the seller is saying about it, what period it's meant to be from, who the seller is. Any chance of seeing the Roger "autograph" too?

You should use "google pictures" or something like that. From what I see now - I wouldn`t do a bid on that item.
And I would agree WW Rogers autograph would help.

if you're looking for memorabilia signed by Freddie - then a genuine signed copy of Made in Heaven is the holy grail for queen collectors - they're almost impossible to find ;-)

I wouldn't exactly rule this one out yet. It doesn't look great, but there are a couple of wee things that point to it being genuine - a friend of mine has many, many Freddie autographs, some obtained personally, and there are some close characteristics here: I'm still interested in seeing the Roger autograph with a bit of background info. Without that, I wouldn't touch it.

Thank you for your replies this is rogers sorry that i didn't include this in the first post just got the hang on how to use this site.
This is the description given by the seller i thought it might be useful.
You are invited to bid on a rare item of Queen memorabilia and a real piece of music history. This large, custom-made framed presentation features the authentic hand-signed autographs of Queen drummer Roger Taylor & the iconic front-man himself, the legendary Freddie Mercury. The signatures are on the white inside cover of a cassette tape of the band's 'News of the World' album. Taylor has signed vertically while Freddie wrote his full name across the top, in thin black pen.
Both signatures were obtained after a live show in Colorado U.S.A in the late 1970's by a journalist, who was allowed access to the band for a brief interview, and who also snapped 2 candid photographs of Freddie on stage at the concert, both the one-off original negative slides & developed photos of which are included in this auction for added interest & authenticity.
The presentation has been professionally mounted in a solid gold coloured frame, measuring 41" x 35", and boasts a poster of Freddie on stage striking his beautiful, unmistakable trademark pose. Also included in the display is a rare shaped picture disc of Freddie's 'The Great Pretender' & a round 12" picture disc record of Queen's 'It's A Hard Life' with an image of the full band. All of these items, as well as the signatures, are in mint condition. I chose the memorabilia myself as a big fan with the intention of showing off the stunning autographs & making an ultimate, totally unique Queen display... the framing alone cost me over £100! Inside the perspex front is a laser-etched plaque which reads:
Queen
Freddie Mercury & Roger Taylor
thanks.

both signatures are fakes!

I could be wrong, but my guess would be that's only a legit autograph if Freddie was drunk at the time he signed it.

my guess.......... fake

I bought the queen autographs. Their is a extremely high chance on them being fake if so the frame which is worth £100 and I won the bid for £70 will be used on other things so it is still worth it. It also came with two slides of freddie shooting the great pretender and two cristal clear images of him performing at the corolado concert.

good price for a fake? I'd say there ARE some characteristics that do look genuine to me - but assuming that Freddie's is genuine I'd say it's early 70s - not late 70s... weird, my feeling says it could be genuine, my brain says it's fake!
