can you share a better version?

lol, you haven't understood very much of what I wrote, have you?

QRTW is full of hiss but remains one of the best illegal live recording of the queen catalogue, if you can't share a better version I don't understand the sense of your critics to this recording!

please read again my comments carfully, I can't believe you're really that dumb you're trying to make me believe... the fact that I described hiss in the quiet tracks does not necessarily mean you'll have to feel offended nor that I have a better version. I only said that a hissy source leads me to the conclusion that there might be a pre-source with less amount of hiss. This forum is full of such kind of high philosophic thoughs :-)

well, the lineage might be radio station reel tape > perhaps audio tape > bootleg, we don't know which gen tape was used and low budget vinyl productions cause a lot of hiss so it's more than likely that somewhere a slightly better sounding version of this source is collecting dust... [/QUOTE]
There's really no point in trying to deduce what a bootleg's lineage is. Any number of things could have happened between the source and the pressing.
Like I said, the hiss is identical to the CD version, which was not sourced from the vinyl version. Therefore the hiss has nothing to do with the vinyl. And since it was probably recorded from FM radio onto a cassette (it's unlikely to be a pre-FM reel), tape hiss is inevitable.
The mudslinging match above was completely unnecessary. Discussing the origins of recordings, even if it involves flaws in the sound, do not and should not imply any kind of ungratefulness. If nobody talked about this stuff, we'd be a bunch of yes-men sycophants just saying "thanks" like on most other music sharing forums. These discussions keep this place alive !

Thanks a lot for sharing this. There are three concerts of the Magic tour that have a magical feel to me. They are Budapest, Germany, and Knebworth. This concert is a real gem and i´m looking forward to listen to this version of it.
It´s really refreshing to watch Queenzone members uniting for the sake of finding the definitive version of this concert. It still is about the music!
This is the reason why i still come to this site.
Thanks for all of you involved in this project and in the discussions of it. This is really fantastic.

Thanks for sharing!
Is this better than the previous source(s)?

I used to have the FM radio version on cassette at the time, but when this record came out I ditched it in favour of.
I've since been told many times that the LP is edited whereas the radio broadcast wasn't.
Anyone know for sure?

^ correct.
There are three between-song chunks edited out, including Freddie's vocal exchange with the audience. But the songs are essentially all there.

Slightly better. Definitely worth the download, as this is the best-sounding non-official show of the 80s.

As this seems to be the best version out there, could some expert (I'm unfortunately not !) add the missing parts ? So we could have a complete version !
