Oh so the solution for Cool Edit Pro was to open it as 32bit, not 24bit :-)

Yes, that worked for me in Audition too, then just export the file as a 24/96 wav.

So here is the one and only untouched virgin direct tranfer for all you audio extremists !
I hope this will work because I can't get the file compressed below 1 gigb. as mijnbestand.nl serves as it's utter maximum.
Hope you can all deal with this wetransferfile. Be aware it is a big one. Almost 2 gigb. for 40 minutes of music.
Linaege : Elektra reel to reel tape > studio > 24/96Khz PCm file , uncut , unedited, untouched, uncompressed, the most raw version.... nobody played it with like in opposite with your daughters c***..........
Certainly NOT a direct transfer of a reel-to-reel tape. More like an upsampling/ bit depth increase of an ordinary CD rip.
Don't know if it's the best sounding or the most complete version, but it's the most expensive CD for sure.
Well it is a direct transfer of a reel t r tape ! Pictures off the tape can be seen on my facebook page.
If this was a cdrip then from what cd were these generations of mtrmr and sad taken from?
The reeltape was brought to a famous dutch studio no amateur work here !
Why did ypu think this was a cd rip?
It is impossible to explain the cut at 22kHz without a 16/44 sometime in the lineage.
Well here is a pic of the original reeltape which I brought to the profesional studio.
What is the max output of a 7,5 ips reeltape ?
Could be a problem with the transfer.
A floor of -170db just after 22kHz suggests a digital filter. It's exactly the kind of spectrum you obtain if you upsample an audio CD.
The noise floor of a 7.5ips tape is much higher and is not present here. I can see no analog behaviour. All is digital.
Wow !! To the poster of this recording - a MASSIVE thank you !!
It sounds breathtaking and deserves a complete listen.
Beautiful share - you should be rewarded !
Cheers,

Cheers,
Thank you for sharing, it's very kind of you to do so. It takes a special type of collector to spend mahoosive sums of money on the collection and then offer it out for free. A little harsh to call us cunts for wanting to download the thing you've just offered though haha - I don't want to feel like I'm feeding off your scraps, but I do really appreciate that you've circulated it. Thanks also for the link to the cinema 35mm transfer. Is this something you might put out here for us cunts? :) ;) :p ?!?
If I felt I had anything I could share with you, I would. Problem is, all of the things I have (sourced, paid for, traded etc - not simply by hitting "download") have already been shared by other likeminded fans.
Thank you very much for this share. The sound is indeed very good.
Hi Sikke. What was the master for the video you shared on YouTube? It was surely 16mm not 35mm?
Just curious, thanks.
Just curious, thanks.
Just hear John's bass, top performance.
Thanks!
Trying to import this into Audacity (the pcm file) and I'm just getting noise/distortion. How do I fix this?

Same thing happened to me too Greg. Use Cool Edit Pro, drag the file in and select the options shown in the picture, then save to .wav 24/96

ok but... what's the next step after the one you showed?
After the choice of the sample rate and of the resolution, what I have to choose from the options of the image attached?
I tried with 24 bit PCM but it doesn't work!
WOAH. Many thanks!
