Adam Lambert fights in this forum

Per YourValentine, this discussion has been moved to the Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour sub-forum, where Adam threads can now be found.  This sub-forum may in the future be called Queen + or Queen Projects or something else.  This Queen collaboration thread, by whatever name, will house the Queen + Adam Lambert, QAL, and Adam Lambert threads from this point forward.

Yes, but let´s not use the forum to fight each other. This is going to be a great year for Queen once again and this time it will be with Adam Lambert.

I really believe that better things will come out of acceptance of each other than useless fights and attacks like the ones this forum has been experiencing this past weeks.

The thing is, for those who don´t like Adam Lambert, it´s not cool to keep hijacking all topics to say so, or even to make negative remarks towards Adam only to start a fight. There´s a difference between stating an opinion or comparing his voice to a goat on a topic directed to or from Adam fans.

Unless Adam fans are here to say that Freddie is shit - wich i haven´t read it yet - , then i think it´s OK for them to show how passionate they are about Adam Lambert, of course within reasonable measure - by this is mean, don´t spam this forum with many Adam topics but keep posting under the same topic and discussing him and his music. It makes sense to discuss Adam and his music now that he´s linked to Queen, but remember that this is still a Queen related forum.

Let´s move over and enjoy this great year of music, Remember Brian´s health scare this past Dezember and appreciate the fact that he´s still able to tour the world at least one more time. Life´s too short for the kind of negativity and hate that goes around here in Queenzone.

And by the way YourValentine, i can appreciate the "freedom of speech" that Richard wants for Queenzone but his no moderation policy is also responsible for many of the things that goes on in Queenzone. People have stated many times that some great posters simply don´t post here anymore because of the attacks, and i can´t blame them.

Sometimes, a little moderation is needed, in every site. Little by little Queenzone has been improving a little over the last eight months, mainly because of the new tour announcements, new album and Roger´s the lot. This will keep us motivated for this year, but Richard has to think about the future of Queenzone, because there is so much negativity and abuse people can take, or expose themelves to.

This is the fact. Taptap and sweetcaroline never discussed Freddie on QOL unless comparing him with AL, and never discussed Queen without the shows with AL.
Those 2 posters are here for AL only make no mistake about that.

There is a post on this forum which states "somebody stop AL now, why AIDS didn't kill him" (sic)

I have to stress, these are not my words and are quoted from another post on this site

There is no doubt in my mind that the author of the post has made a homophobic and hateful remark in a public place

To my knowledge, this is not the first post of this kind by the author

There is some doubt as to where the author is from and what their motivations are. Maybe they are simply a "troll" but maybe they have serious issues regarding the gay community however, the views expressed are unacceptable and offensive to many people and the above post may even be considered beyond the law in certain parts of the world

I would suggest to the moderator-regulator that the remarks are removed and that, in future, this person can no longer use this site to promulgate such remarks which are offensive to many of us, particularly in the context of this website

Which, again, is why we need to ramp up pressure on Richard and Barb to recognize that this type of "free speech" needs to be curbed and that troll banned. I just don't think they get it.

Most forums would have issued bans long ago for this type of hate speech.


EDIT: Barb spoke out against rocknrolllover's homophobia over in that topic currently in the Personal section. This is a very welcome start.
