Brian's confirming that the tour is essentially sold out for all intents and purposes. Here's an excerpt from his 2014 summer arena tour interview, along with links to the full audio and print interview :
DAMIEN: Now at the Press Conference to announce your North American tour you said "The fans want us to do it, so we'll do it one more time". Is it the last time?
BRIAN: I'm kind of feeling that it is. It's the last big shot. Yeah, we won't be able to do it for ever, you know. Our bodies are not what they were when we were 35. Nevertheless, I'm thriled to have the opportunity. It's amazing that we have the chance. It's incredible that the tour sold out almost instantly. These are big places. It's a tour precisely on the same level as we did in 1986 or whatever with Freddie. So it's a big deal and you have to really take it seriously. We don't take ourselves too seriously hopefully, still, we take the job seriously and we want to be good value, and it will be something pretty big - pretty special, I think.
DAMIEN: And Adam Lambert's on board doing the vocals.
BRIAN: He is.
DAMIEN: And what impresses me most - cos I've followed his career from American Idol onwards...
BRIAN: American Idol, yeah.
DAMIEN: ... is he has ownership of the songs - and I think I that's the one thing that maybe, just as a fan, that Freddie had, cos he didn't sing a song in a standard way whatsoever. He played around with it. It was up and it was down. Adam seems to do that as well.
BRIAN: He does. He's a really fine artist, you know, with a stupendous instrument. That's a voice in a billion. I know Freddie, for a fact, would gasp at the stuff that Adam is able to do. You know, Freddie was one of the greatest singers of all time. There's no question of that, but he would've looked at Adam and thought "Oooh, my God. That boy's got something", you know. And Adam's a nice person to work with as well, which is really important. You can't go out around the world with people you don't like. We've been very fortunate, and I've been incredibly fortunate to work with some great people who are also great human being...

I think there's only tickets left in Saskatoon and Edmonton (or are some still available from the second show added in Toronto?). Rob Ford will party-hardy that night, no doubt! \o/
If he is even remotely serious about it, I highly doubt he will be partying anytime soon now that he's in rehab.
(*I'm not convinced he's doing the latter for the right reasons, given he's trying to get re-elected this October)

Typical American ignorance.
Trust me from experience, you have NOT experienced middle of nowhere unless you've been on a road trip across Canada, especially outside of the cities going through Alberta and Saskatchewan where there is NOTHING to look at for miles and miles...literally.
I will say that I ate at one of the best steak houses ever on a business trip to Winnipeg, though.
You haven't had the best Canadian steak or beef until you've tried those from Alberta. tsskiller can vouch for that.

And I don't blame icy. I wouldn't want to either, having faced some of that trolling myself as pointed out below, and I don't think I could keep my words to myself around someone like SweetCaroline if she is just as arrogant in person as she is online.
And I'll say this, inu liger and Yaff who have also faced your rants/rages are very nice people. You are not only missing out on Queen's music, you are missing out on getting to know some very good people, because you are so obsessed by AL.
Indeed. Several Queenzoners and a few QOL'ers I think have met me over the past decade IRL, I am indeed a very nice guy to get along with in general and I'm sure several can vouch for that, but at the same time my niceties and patience only goes so far if I'm dealing with arrogant folk on the other hand. I am not someone you want to piss off.

Inu, she is biased. She was on QOL, and remains so here about people, where they come from and where they live.

Careful now. They both feel no one on QOL talks with me. That kinda crap from the 2 people who has rarely ventured out of AL related discussions prove to me the depths they will sink.
Plus you have talked to me here, so maybe you will not be liked for that either. CNB has said she pretty much warned me about someone else, and I frankly didn't listen, so that's why she and many more don't like me. They tend to let secrets out and slip up here on QZ.
I know you are a nice guy. I know YAFF is too. I wouldn't wish the crap that CNB and mithril still spread about me online for months on end on anyone.

Understood! I was teasing about you picking up icy! I also said that icy and I would kill each other before we ever got to the venue if I were to pick her up. She doesn't get me and I sure as hell don't get her! LOL

Aww, you were "teasing" again, your m.o in trying to cover your ass. Do you think much before posting, or could you not copy and paste your replies in this thread?
I will tell you this. I think very highly of inu and Yaff, I have much respect and admiration for them both.
You are right, I don't "get" you. How very sad and easy it is for you to label people as haters, homophobes, to go off into a rage and rant, blame people or person for things you have done, the gossip you spread to other sites about people who you don't like and your all out obsession. I'll never "get" that about anyone.
And you will never get me, because you are silly, sad and stupid enough to hold it against someone for talking to other people that you don't like. You are a very closed off person, living in a small bubble.

Poor, poor icy -- she didn't get anywhere going after Montavilla and had the mods telling her to "shut up" so now she is back here to go after taptap and me! Poor, poor misunderstood icy!

Looking on ticketmaster, it seems that 4 sections of seats at The Palace of Auburn Hills were just recently opened up for ticket sales! Kinda seems like lousy seats....the first few sections starting from the side of the stage and going back....but I guess that means ticket sales are going pretty darn good!
If anyone who is going has never been there, I must say The Palace is an excellent concert venue....I've seen Rush, Metallica, and others there...

It's called sarcastic humor. I thought that should be obvious!
