Queen
Live at the Rainbow Theatre, London, UK
March 31st 1974
Video source 1 :
PRO master > Japan TV > ? > NTSC VHS(x) > NTSC DVD(x) > DVDDecrypter > MPG2 file > AviSynth (speed correction) > VirtualDubMod > NeatVideo plugin > uncompressed AVI > Cinema Craft Encoder > MPG2 file, PAL, 8MBps bitrate
Video source 2 :
PRO master > ? > www.bbc.co.uk web documentary in Real format > RealPlayer (unfortunately) > VCD :-( > MPG >
AviSynth (various filters trying to mask the extremely bad VCD resolution and compression artifacts, resizing
to PAL dimensions, letterboxing the widescreen footage to achieve 4:3 aspect ratio) > Cinema Craft Encoder >
MPG2 file, PAL, 8MBps bitrate
Video source 3 :
PRO master > ? (film?) > Swedish TV broadcast > DVD Recorder > VOB > Queenzone share by wrak(?) > AviSynth
(speed correction) > uncompressed AVI > VirtualDubMod > DeLogo plugin (for removing the "2" logo from top
right corner) > NeatVideo plugin (for removing various artifacts and hiding DeLogo artifacts) > uncompressed
AVI > Cinema Craft Encoder > MPG2 file, PAL, 8MBps bitrate
Video source 4 :
PRO master > ? > horrible "When Freddie Mercury Met Kenny Everett" documentary > AviSynth (contrast improvements) > AVI > Cinema Craft Encoder > MPG2 file, PAL, 8MBps bitrate
Video source 5 :
PRO master > VHS(x) - VERY high generation copy > bootleg DVD > MPG2

Audio source :

Tracklist:
1. Procession
2. Son And Daughter
3. Seven Seas of Rhye
4. Modern Times Rock'n'Roll
Procession
- video to Procession is made from the backstage footage from the November show(s) and various other bits
Son And Daughter
- the intro is a mix of video sources 2 and 3, from "What comes next?" it switches to video source 1.
All letterboxed parts come from video source 1. The low quality miss-colored ending comes from video
source 5.
Seven Seas of Rhye
- the video to SSOR is basically one long slideshow made from many professional photographs
Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll
- the intro comes from video source 4, the rest comes from source 1
All the sources were joined together and encoded as a mkv file. If somebody of you guys want to do a DVD or have problems playing mkv files, the video stream is a DVD-compliant mpg2 file, so you can just demux the mkv file and you have mpgs.

Download all 4 parts and unrar.
BTW as usual, there is a little "watermark" or "intentional defect" which is small enough so 99% of you won't notice. I'm doing it so that I can identify how far the video will get.
DO NOT UPLOAD TO YOUTUBE OR SIMILAR SITES. DO NOT SELL. DO NOT "RELEASE" IT AS A PROFESSIONAL BOOTLEG
I have shared this video after a long long time, and there is a big chance it will be the last video you will get from me, I'm really sick of people who download stuff for free and then sell copies of it for money.
Also - does anybody have a better quality video source? Please contact me, the footage is great, but the quality definitely needs improvements :-)

This is absolutely brilliant ;) thanks so much for sharing this with us! Until the official hypothetical release I think that we can consider this the best circulating document about wonderful March '74 Rainbow's gig.
Great! Thank you very much for your effort!!
oops ^^
Thank You!
Needless to say, this is pretty bad-ass. A fine effort to compile the best sources of the earliest Queen footage we know of.
Thanks, Pittrek !
