this is shitty news if indeed is going through their minds. dont wanna sound like a an asshole, but what i am gonna say is how i feel regarding this new queen + tour, or my hopes.

I really hope sales are low for the tour so they realise there is no point in touring when you you don't have the right singer nor the physical fittness to play(like roger lately) anymore.
They could do a couple of shows from time to time, but a tour with the Lame-bert guy??? psss!!
.
What the fuxxxk happened to the rainbow dvd, the freddie tracks, the movie. They say they don't need money but they seem to be foolling us or something.
They still re-release old stuff, they still milk fans, and lately they havent offered anything worth buying or enjoying.

The last good thing i remeber, was the freddie mercury docu, and the budapest blu-ray back in 2012.

I hope things change in the near future, although it seems like we'ill have to Wait forever in order to have intresting material released.

Am I dreaming?
You are the only person who does not come under the influence of advertising "Lambert" from Brian and Roger.
According to rumors, RAINBOW will be released this year, as part of the 40th anniversary of this concert.
I've got the power to love to live I can't say it ain't right

taptap wrote: The sales for the tour have already exceeded Brian and Roger's expectations.  All 19 initial arena venues have either sold exceedingly well or are already sold-out.  Several of these venues had additional sections opened partially behind the stage to meet the higher than expected demand.  Five additional concert dates have been added, 3 as second dates in cities already set up, and two in new cities - again to meet the higher than expected demand.  The tour as it stands now, will run for about 6 weeks, from mid-June to late in July  They've also added extra dates between Aug. 14 and 17 for SuperSonic in Seoul S. Korea, and SummerSonic in Japan.  I'm still hopeful they'll add at least a few dates in England to close out the tour, either before or after the SuperSonic and SummerSonic music festivals in Asia.

Hopefully there will still be an album put out of unpublished Freddie tracks, along with some of Freddie and Michael Jackson.  They're implying that will happen at any rate.  Who really knows, though, where they are with that project or the FM biopic.

I think the rumor about a collaborative QAL album is just speculation.  I for one don't think that's on the near horizon, if at all.  Adam's already heavily involved in the production of his third solo album, and Brian and Roger seem to have a lot on their plate with projects promised for their fans, too.  Hopefully we'll hear more about these independent projects this autumn.

I'd rather hear Brian doing ukelele covers of George Formby songs or Roger armpit-farting the national anthem than a Queen+ Adam Camembert album.

I'm sorry that you feel so negatively about the amazingly talented Adam Lambert and I hope that as the Queen + AL tour gets underway, you will be able to change your mind about him I don't care about a QAL album. I just want to purchase a DVD/CD of this show so that I can enjoy it long after I have been to the two live shows I will be attending in Chicago and Auburn Hills.

Is he "amazingly talented" because of his voice, song writing skills, and ability to play an instrument or instruments? Like Elton John, Billy Joel, Warren Zevon, David Bowie, Neil Young etc? Or is he "amazingly talnted" because you are obsessed with him and can't accept that others aren't?

You can say I am obsessed because I probably am, but THIS is from Brian's lips to your eyes and ears:

"DAMIEN: ... is he has ownership of the songs - and I think I that's the one thing that maybe, just as a fan, that Freddie had, cos he didn't sing a song in a standard way whatsoever. He played around with it. It was up and it was down. Adam seems to do that as well.

BRIAN: He does. He's a really fine artist, you know, with a stupendous instrument. That's a voice in a billion. I know Freddie, for a fact, would gasp at the stuff that Adam is able to do. You know, Freddie was one of the greatest singers of all time. There's no question of that, but he would've looked at Adam and thought "Oooh, my God. That boy's got something", you know. And Adam's a nice person to work with as well, which is really important. You can't go out around the world with people you don't like. We've been very fortunate, and I've been incredibly fortunate to work with some great people who are also great human being..."

Nice dodge. Brian May also thinks specks of dust caught in a camera lens are "orbs" or ufos or ghosts or some other shit. And he even said Kiss are good, when they're the most execrable band on the planet. I don't give a monkeys what he thinks about Lambert. Perhaps you might have a stab at answering my question now? Here it is again:

someone's cranky...

I have now learned two irrefutable things from some Queen fans:

1. Queen is the best band ever, tied only with the Beatles.
2. The musicians of Queen don't know shit about music.

I'm saying I don't believe everything Brian says, and I have good reason for that since he has often spouted compete crap to support a particualr project he;s interested in, whether that's Queen+ or badgers. In future if you don't understand what I've said, ask and I'll explain it more simply for you. In the meantime, maybe you could have a stab at answering my question. Is he "amazingly talented" because he can sing, write songs, and play an instument or instruments? You know, like genuinely amazingly talented people like Warren Zevon or Paul Simon? Or might it just be the case that AL isn't "amazingly talented" as his fans here claim, fans who are obsessed and can't therefore process why others aren't that keen on him or more to the point on Queen + him?

Why does Adam have to play an instrument? His "instrument" is his stupendous voice -- one in a billion! Go to a live show and then tell me that he is NOT amazing. Does everyone who plays an instrument and write great songs have a stupendous one in a billion voice? Yes, Adam writes great songs, too! You are free to feel the way you do. I just said that I hope once this tour gets underway, you will change your mind about him. If you do, great! If you don't, that is your prerogative. I'm not dodging anything.

Believe me, I understood you perfectly.

I'll take a stab at answering your question.  If a fan says they think AL is amazingly talented, I think they mean (now don't hold me to this, because I could be wrong, mind you) that they think AL is amazingly talented.

Of course that's just an opinion (you know, like your opinion that Brian is a lying liar who lies when he gives an opinion that differs with yours and is a genius of space, stars and time, as well as  music when his opinion aligns with yours).  But since it's an opinion, my opinion is that that your desire to qualify other people's opinions as either true or false indicates a lack of understanding as to what an opinion actually means.  Therefore I have to conclude that those who think Adam is amazingly talented (Adam's fans, Brian May, Roger Taylor, etc. etc.), would disagree with your opinion that he isn't amazingly talented.  Maybe you should arm wrestle her to see who's opinion is the correct one?  Or maybe you can arm wrestle Brian May (if he'd stop cuddling the badgers long enough to hold still for such a challenge of course).

Poor naive SweetCaroline.  Believe me, if Holly went to a live show, the last thing she would do is admit that Adam is amazing.  Srsly, not everyone will be a fan of Adam's, not everyone has to be.  It's enough that Brian and Roger are, as well as the folks who bought sufficient tickets to sell out the QAL arenas.  That's really all that matters.  No need to convert the world to fans, when all QAL needs is a certain number already accounted for.

Also there's a difference in tone between people who want to have a civil discourse about things to which they disagree, and people who are just trying to set others up.  You know, the attempt to lead someone into circles far afield from what they meant initially by laying out a new set of unrelated and irrelevant markers?  BTW, cue just such a dog-needs-a-bone post in 3... 2... 1...

My point being that the tone of this post, with snarky demands that you explain in minute detail what you mean by your opinion that AL is 'amazingly talented' while asking you to compare and contrast what you said to what you didn't (i.e. comparing Adam Lambert to iconic artists A, B, and C, chosen by the one being snarky, probably in order to claim, in a follow-up post that clearly you think Adam is as amazingly talented as iconic artists A, B, and C, and that no doubt Adam himself thinks he's as amazingly talented as iconic artists A, B, and C, which clearly makes him nothing more than an egotistical lame-ass karaoke singer blah blah blah), is a pretty good indicator that this 'request' falls in the latter category.

P.S.
Is it just me, or does Holly sound awfully familiar?

Yup, that's me -- naive, and that's why they call me "sweet" Caroline!!!!!
