Wow, my ears are clapping!! What a quality!!
Sorry Barry, but since this version has Freddie's voice AutoTuned (you can hear it in the "Around, around, around" section in the video) and fixed drums, wouldn't it be totally digital? A digital audio + a lossy format = not quite analog.
I say it because it's being kept like a rarity, and the description of the video says that he recorded this BBC audio stream from the analogue broadcast just before TV in the UK went totally digital, like if it did a huge difference.

No need to be sorry!
I don't think anyone is claiming nicam is analogue are they?
Nicam audio was transmitted on terrestrial TV in the UK before the digital changeover and accompanied the analogue video transmission.
As regards auto tune, nobody is saying it wasn't used in this 2009 mix as well.
Rather than a rarity, this is a different mix.
Some people like it, others don't.
.....at least it has been preserved in nice quality.
NICAM has a sampling rate of only 32 kHz - not really good.
...And a dynamic range of just 14 bits (16384 levels) - much worse than CD.
Yeah, I got Google too
So there was a better option for recording an audio stream from a TV broadcast in 2009?
