The mixes

1) The TV mix - basically the sound captured by the TV cameras, correct? It's mono, and of course it's edited - the TV broadcast started with an introduction by Bob Harris and ended right after Queen's rock and roll medley.
It's not the sound captured by the TV cameras. A mono feed was taken from the Front-Of-House live mix. This practice is still used nowadays by Queen. I've seen the media teams plugging into the patch bay in the Q+PR and Q+AL tours.
2) BBC Radio 1 mix - the original radio mix. Stereo, with great backing vocals, but with weak drums.
This is not the 'original' radio mix, but a quick mix from the multitrack master made at the time, and usually taken from either BBC transcription LPs or CDs.
3) The Swedish mix - my personal favourite with great sounding drums, but weak backing vocals. But again it's not complete.
The source of this '2005' mix is a mistery to me. I used to believe it was 2) remastered, but now I'm inclined to think it is a full remix from the multitrack masters.

4) The 2009 mix. Intended for the unreleased '35th Anniversary' edition of Live At The Hammersmith Odeon DVD. This is a new remix from the multitrack masters. I have to compare it with the 'swedish' mix.

I have intentionally ignored the 2009 mix :-) But thanks for the info! Any idea what was broadcast on the radio live in 1975?

If it hasn't been shared I will up it but I have a feeling it's nothing new.
