I would like to know if the length of the concert on bluray is exactly the same as the cd...
the Milton Keynes CD is shorter than DVD because QP decided to cut out some speech of Freddie

^ The CD comes out at one second longer @ 79 mins 40 seconds

If the 2LP set is the same master as the 4LP set, then it's probably the most pointless Queen release of all time.
The whole point of the 2 LP set in my opinion is that we get the March show as it would have been released - straight from the already mastered 1974 master tape. After all, there's a bloody picture of it on the inner sleeve.
If all they've done is recreate the track-listing using the recent remastering of the whole concert, then it's a massive con, a major disappointment and another QPL wasted opportunity.

Lots of threads, so I'll say it here - a real shame they continue to have drum solos and guitar solos on separate CD tracks, especially considering the KYA drum solo is so short and essentially the same as the LP cut - and the guitar solo in S&D is the same as the BBC version and not necessary to cut up. Son & Daughter (Incorporating Guitar Solo) would've been a nice go between.

That's it though. No other problems!

Why would it be any different, isn't the 2LP set just highlights of each concert anyway?

Nope. The March show should be the original 1974 mix.

^ Please explain.
Are you saying it's not highights?
Also, where does it state it should be the " original" mix?

from http://www.queenonlinestore.com/Queen/Live-At-The-Rainbow-74/Queen-Live-At-The-Rainbow-74-2LP/3DCE040V071

"Limited edition gate-fold double vinyl package including one LP featuring an audio reproduction of the original March show live album and one LP featuring highlights from the November show"
· Member since
^ Yes, but it is not the complete show and there is no mention that is the original mix?
· Member since
OK but you will agree that this is an artistic way to describe a disc that will contain highlights of the show
· Member since
^ Yes, it should say they are highlights from BOTH shows.
Having said that it's pretty obvious you could never fit the complete March show on a single LP :-)

No, but what they appear to be saying is that the vinyl of the March show is the original live LP they were planning to release in '74 as their third record and first live album. Same tracklist and, presumably, same editing. But I don't see how that would also necessarily mean the original *mix*.
