The cause? Lambert sucks. He was fine to sell tickets in the USA, where people are addicted to shitty music.
I'm happy that Europe is still very different from USA.
Oh here we go again with the soon-to-be-once-again-unfounded predictions that the tour will conviently fail to sell. Get lost. The tour's going to sell very well, and you'll be eating your words soon enough, so get lost and take your negativity away with you while you're at it.
you didn't get my point.
It's easy to sell out a whole tour if you make a few shows.
It's much more hard to sell out a whole tour if you plan more shows.
Q+PR in 2008: 35 Europe shows.
Q+AL in 2015: 21 Europe shows.
Of course Q+AL tour will sell very good, but it's a matter of percentage only, Q+AL will sells good just because of the shortened tour program.
Q+PR tour was much longer than Q+AL one and it was a good selling tour.
I'm sorry but I'm not gonna regret anything. They will play in Milan, it's 3 hours only away from my home. But I simply don't wanna spend money to see the Glambert!!

agree with Akan above
indeed, economic situation´s quite bad in Spain, but that does not affect music shows, being it in small theaters or even bigger arenas and stadiums, believe me. Big / not so big names are still selling out.
Maybe we should blame the spanish promoters for not willing to take the risk, but I think that if they had only programmed just one date, being it Madrid for instance, it would have sold out

Take Springsteen, for example. In 2013, he played just one Spanish show, even though the country has tradtionally been an easy sell for him.

no, sorry, not a valid argument. Just the year before, in 2012, he played Barcelona (Olympic Stadium), Madrid (Santiago Bernabeu), Sevilla (Olympic Stadium) and San Sebastian (Anoeta Stadium).
I believe that playing just one date in 2013 (Gijon) had more to do with spreading the tour over different cuntries / cities, given the (welcome) Springsteen-saturation we´ve had in Spain for the past 20 years.
In fact rumours say we´ll see him again in 2015 (Camp Nou, Santiago Bernabeu, etc). So, once again, venues with capacities between 80.000 / 90.000.

A couple of things I'd like to throw out there for everyone's consideration:
-The amount of tour dates could be affected by other upcoming commitments that don't allow for a much more expanded itinerary
-Alternatively, there could also be dates added later on, as was the case for the US/Canada tour earlier this summer with the extra 6 dates. The initial demand will be the dictating factor here, if they have left an optional window of time open to this. And judging by comments on the official Fan Club's Facebook page, it seems some show are already selling their allocated presale blocks very well!

No Irish date either. :( There hasn't been an Irish date in almost 10 years!

Does anyone know where to buy tickets for the London gig?

Well, he played good-sized venues in Italy in 2012 and 2013 (including the San Siro both years), so it's not a bad argument.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they will add a second leg of the tour (depending of ticket sales and available timeframe)

The initial announcement for the U.S./Canada tour was for 19 dates. They added on 5 more dates for North America and 11 more for Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand for a total of 35. They will add more dates for the UK/Europe tour if the ticket sales go through the roof!
I'm very excited for the folks who will be able to see this phenomenal show!

There will be a second leg next summer, they are going out to the far east, so presumably will do more European dates as well .

No Freddie, No John = No Queen.
I for one will not be attending the uk shows.
Queen will not admit that Lambert is the permanent replacement for Freddie Mercury.
It's just not the same group, they have no charisma without Freddie, plus there stage set up looks crap now without those luxurious lightning rigs they once had in the 80s.
A fool and his money are easily parted especially at Adam Lambert concerts!

Is fantastic how people make their own and personal opinions facts.
If that are your reasons to don't watch live Brian & Roger is OK. They will need a singer, who will it be if not AL? The guy is doing a good work.
If you want my own personal opinion, some work of Queen and a very few other bands aside, 80s music was crap, a period of decadence after the glorious 70s. Nowdays there is a lot of shitty artists but a bunch of good ones too.
So comments like ''Nowdays music is shit, B&R shouldn't use a modern singer'', or ''lightning rings were better back in the 80s'' are obviously under a strong nostalgia.
