Today in the UK "The Star" newspaper it said that Queen+ AL were to headline Glastonbury. Is this official or just Tabloid speculation?
Joyful the sound
I have heard Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath and Paul McCartney are currently in the frame. Sure Queen+ would win that one... lol.
This is all lies, I am headlining Glasto. :p
Arse.

The Star are well known for having the inside track on Glastonbury - this is the ninth year in a row that they've pre-announced the headliners.

Politics, Sport, Weather - they're an over-imaginative set of fantasists on LSD. Entertainment - utter precision.

oh, well wouldn't that big a big get for them!
It wouldn't surprise me if they headlined one night, but not the final night.
Interesting - have they ever done a big festival like this before? They meaning Queen in any iteration.
I think you'd be great for Glastonbury. It's not exactly my favourite thing, but they'd really go down a storm.
Rock in Rio would certainly qualify, if we're talking Queen in any form.
^ what he said.

Rio, and also Saarbrucken 79.

Mannheim 1986 was a one day festival too
Sonisphere nearly happened back in 2012, if it was not for the organisers pulling the plug!!!

And Then this year there were the "Summersonic" & "Supersonic" festivals in Korea & Japan.

They pulled the plug because metal fans, unsurprisingly, didn't want to see Queen + Adam Lambert, so none of them bought tickets. I went to Sonisphere this year, and it was absolutely amazing, but Queen & Adam Lambert would have gone down like a lead balloon with that crowd.

I'm not sure that they'll get a much better reaction from Glastonbury attendees. But since they could put a bucket of cow pats on the stage as the headlining act, and Glastonbury would still sell out, they probably don't need to worry too much on that score.
