wow I wasn't expecting so many replies so quickly! And so many great ideas as well! Thank you all of you, I know it's not the most "traditional" band choice/song choice for a wedding and is therefore quite a difficult task but you've given us so many great ideas I think we're going to need to sit down with these and try them out to see what works best :)
Can't fault Queen fans - amazing :D xxx

.. is not wedding appropriate...
...it's wedding inappropriate...
... it's so wrong...
... so it really couldn't be more inappropriate.
People should NOT play those songs at weddings.

Weddings are 100% personal affairs and can be structured any way the involved parties want.
I adore weddings that are unique and individualized.
OP- GO FOR IT!
Whether or not it makes sense to anyone but you and your partner, make this day special for yourselves in any way that pleases you.

Before the bride arrives - somebody to love
as bride walks down isle - Las Palabras De Amor !!!
exiting the church - you and I
first dance - The Millionaire Waltz (optionally CUT/Omitted the heavy rock part)
incl. in the wedding party - Tie your mother down :D
the last song of the wedding party - these are the days of our lives (esp. meaning that it's a one-of-a-kind life experience and it's worth remembering as it will never happen again).

Its funny you've said that, its our leaving song from the ceremony because it has special meaning for us. The proposal was my partner putting on las palabras de amor, going on one knee and asking with our 2 yr old son next to him shouting yay lol

For the first dance-guitar thing, I would use Rock It. It starts slowly and looks like it's a ballad, but, all of the sudden... bang!!!
I used to play it as a DJ back in the 80s and it was so much fun to see the couples dance together to the first part and then... look completely lost when the guitar part came in :)
Cheers,

A lot of trashy answers on here.
disregard Brenski & wizard of course they always come up with obscure answers.
"Don't stop me now" is a great song for any joyous occasion
and how about "Your my best friend".
good luck with the wedding.

If intelligence = obscurity in your mind, so be it

I have been a DJ for the past 39 years and have used "You're My Best Friend" for more than a few Wedding Dance 1st Songs. One I would always throw in about half way thru was "You Don't Fool Me" Very few people knew it was Queen...but they did dance to it. Hope That Helps.
