Enter Sandman or Smells Like Teen Spirit.

When it comes to 'epic' I would exclude Grunge and Heavy Metal. Otherwise I would say smells like teen Spirit.
When I think of 'epic' rock songs from the 90s which stood the test of time I think of
the show must go on
Crying, Crazy, Amazing by Aerosmith
Always by Bon Jovi
November rain by Guns n' roses
These still get a lot of airplay and are widely known to a large audience.
Anybody remembers
Adrenalize Album by Def Leppard?
Pornografitti & III Sides to every Story Album by Extreme?
the Spin Doctors?
Hughe then, forgotten now...

Smells Like Teen Spirit (I feel it's the anthem of the '90s).

III Sides is a damn good album!!!!!! And I actually saw the Spin Doctors live! (They opened for the Rolling Stones in '94!!) :)
Also, Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Under the Bridge.
Will you call me crazy if i say my favourite record from the 90's outside Queen is 'No Exit'' by Blondie?
I relistened the album after a while and it was a great experience, musically is diverse, with pop, rock, rap and country songs. Ms. Harry nailed the vocals, and is definitely fun to listen.

I won't, but maybe myopic idiots will?
I'll have to check that out ! I saw some footage of Blondie from a year or two ago, and they still had the goods.
Innuendo?
Not really a fan, but wouldn't Meat Loaf's "I'd do anything for love (but I won't do that)" qualify?
I'm surprised nobody mentioned it here.

It's easy ...
Innuendo by Queen !
Innuendo by Queen !
Innuendo is only remembered by Queen fans nowadays.
So I do not think that it qualifies.
Meatloaf...I had totatlly forgotten about it...very good guess!!
