Anyone whose followed Queen since the 70's, and I am one, will know its always been like this, we've whinged about all sorts, Freddie cutting his hair and growing a tache, hot space, the works, you name it, its what we do ! I guess we're perfectionists like Mr May :-)

But Adam fucking Lambert?
Its an x factor twat for fucks sake....

True, I remember the discontent around "The Game" come to think of it, strangely I eventually appreciated "Hot Space" except "Cool Cat", in my opinion Queen's worst song!

That argument is just a fallacy.
If we follow your logic, then Spice Girls, Demi Lovato or Britney Spears are in the same league as Freddie, as none of them were part of a talent show.
The fact that Adam became well known because of a talent show doesnt mean that the guy cant sing, in the same way, the fact that some singers were never part of a talent show doesnt mean that they have talent as singers.

Not true. I've taken quite a few classes in French.

How dare you call Adam an 'xfactor twat'!!!!!!!
(he's an American Idol queer, not an x factor twat! Hehe.....:p)
And believe it or not.......he did well on a talent show, guess why? He's talented............
At any rate, I was rather disappointed after seeing the tracklisting for Forever................but I am not gonna be too upset about that, because I got the chance to see Brian and Roger with a DAMN good singer, and got my hands on the new Rainbow release..........

Complaining is what keeps the band relevant. Their music keeps our interest. The RELEASES keep people complaining.
Much to be desired.
Suppose it has always been their clever plan to withhold the proposed ANTHOLOGY.
That way qz'ers stay interested.
Had the anthology been released in 2000 or 2005 latest. We all might not be here.

It does make him a whore and an industry tool, though.

So I guess what you mean is that anyone who has a skill which they sell as a person, an airline pilot for instance or a factory worker etc is a whore and an industry tool to those who pay that persons wages.
I take it you're employed and therefor a whore and industry tool

Too bad you're so intellectually limited that you immediately resort to the reductio ad absurdum-fallacy.
He's a whore and an industry tool because he allows himself to be prostituted as the umpteenth 'new big thing' that is marketed by the record companies to put out whatever crap they decide they want to hit the top of the charts. All those talent-contests are nothing more than a televized version of how they've always created synthetic bands, like the boy- and girl-bands we were flooded with in the '90s. The big music businesses deliberately create stars who don't write their own material so that they can be easily controlled. Bands should make it or fail on the strength of their music, not on the amount of money the record companies spend on marketing. I despise the American Idol (and similar shows)-approach, which is as cynical and anti-musical as it gets.
You are seemingly incapable of grasping the distinction between employing a skill to commercial ends and surrendering everything to corporate interests. That is very regrettable for you. It is also more than a little sad that you don't see the difference between, say, a band that rose on its own merits, like Queen, and one that is artificially created and hyped out of purely financial motives, like Adam Lambert.

I'm not intellectually limited. Just trying to point out a simple fact that if the position you are in involves selling yourself ( skills ) then you fall into the category that you mentioned.
Because of where Adam Lambert's career grow from is no reason to label him as you have done. Working with Queen, and been offered the chance to expand his experience in this way certainly isn't whoring himself to the industry, if it is you should remember what Queen went through under trident. Granted they were a real band, and being creative but they still had to work as directed by their keepers early on.
The industry today is very fragmented and harder to break into, and be successful at, than it was 30or forty years ago. The talent show route, which I don't like because of the same reason that you have given, is a great option for some people.
The real tools of the industry are the ones that explode onto the scene then sink, because the industry, and the market has no long term interest in them, very few build a very long or successful career, but some escape that a go on to better things. I'm not a huge Lambert fan, but from the beginning ( with Queen ) I've been willing to give him time. He is now singing well and commanding Queen sized audiences.
I still stand by my whore and tool comment, though it wasn't meant as an insult just a comparison between different careers really having the same or similar goals ie selling your skill ( or mine ) for money.

I'm French-Canadian, I know what he or she wrote. He or she wants to know why there's so few Queen concerts available as official releases. He or she wants to see something else than Wembley and Montreal. He or she is sure that there's good bootlegs available (which is true) like Puebla 10/18/81.
