he's got stuff of his own to promote (right now)
saying yes at this point would be a distractions form his current venture - and also take away much of the consumer interest.
wait til the album/tour are done then - never say never.
also waiting for a Ritchie B Rainbow/Purple III reunion - about as likely

He's got all the time in the world for solo ventures. Zep have played one show in a gazillion years. I totally get what you're saying there Brenski, but I know what I'd rather see ;) (and $800m? WOW).

The 2007 show was a fine way to end Led Zep. It was a great show and buried memories of poor-ish post-Bonham reunion shows in the 80s. Plant has it spot on and I admire his integrity in not going for the easy money.

I just wanna see Zep, because I haven't before :)
That said, I wanted to see Meat Loaf.....and he was shit.

As a Jock, you just can't bear all that money going to waste :p :)

Perhaps the rest of the band can invite Mr. Lambert to front them, following the footsteps of Brian May and Roger Taylor! (being sarcastic, ok?)

Good on him. Led Zeppelin produced something truly magical in their brief run, and for Plant to continuously turn down offers because he wants to focus on his solo career and continue to progress as a musician is very admirable. Honestly, I'd rather JPJ get back with Dave Grohl and Josh Homme for a second Them Crooked Vultures album, and Plant to continue to work on his solo career (his newest album is fantastic), and for Page to... uh.......

There was an official announcement by the Robert Plant camp earlier today that he did not turn down $500 million dollars as reported earlier, according to a Led Zeppelin group and Classic Rock Forever via Facebook.Com. However, there is no conformation that Zeppelin is back together either.

^ this.
His solo career has been more interesting and diverse than most careers in their totality. Plant has no intentions to relive his past. He doesn't need the money nor the accolades. JPJ is doing just fine too.
I just feel bad for Page. He says he wants to tour and create new music, but he has become so synonymous with Zeppelin and being the protector of their legacy, and I fear he'll never escape it.

Page has always been the architect/artisan type happy to have the front man up there projecting the work.
Only way he can create new music these days will be to add a recognised frontman/singer and take the music in a different direction. therein lies his problem.
that being said, i'd probably sell a kidney to see Page and Blackmore rock out one last time

And if they played without John Paul Jones and couldn't get Bonham's son. .. and toured "with Robert's blessing" ..... Jimmy could Tour as Led Zeppelin + Adam Lambert!
