With the recent release of Queen Forever I thought it would be a good time to do an update of the Queen Fanthology. This document covers the albums from Queen to The Works (which have already been published) but now with several additional song versions:
Queen II:
Nevermore (Queen Forever Version)
A Night At The Opera:
’39 (Single Version)
Love Of My Life (Queen Forever Version)
A Day At The Races:
Drowse (Queen Forever Version)
News Of The World:
Spread You Wings (Queen Forever Version)
The Game:
Play The Game (Queen Forever Version)
Hot Space:
Under Pressure (8 Good Reasons To Buy Greatest Hits II Version)
There Must Be More To Life Than This
The Works:
Radio Ga Ga (8 Good Reasons To Buy Greatest Hits II Version)
I Want To Break Free (8 Good Reasons To Buy Greatest Hits II Version)
Is This The World We Created (Queen Forever Version)
Let Me In Your Heart Again
Let Me In Your Heart Again (William Orbit Remix)
Love Kills – The Ballad
Man On Fire
In addition, Queen Forever features some other song versions that have already been released. I’ve updated those entries to reflect that fact:
Lilly Of The Valley – The UK/Japanese single version
You Take My Breath Away – Edit, previously released on Digital Master Sampler
Somebody To Love – Edit, previously released on Greatest Hits VHS (1992 US release)

As always, thanks for all your work, it's very much appreciated.
Thanks a lot!!
Thanks for all the effort you have made producing this. It's fascinating to read and really helps me organise my collection.
Wow, first time I've looked at this at it's an amazing piece of work.
Thanks to you and anyone else whose been involved in it.

Can you expand on these ?
I do recall the Classic Queen version of Under Pressure sounding leaps and bounds better than the Hot Space version (and lacking a "that's OK" from the first verse), but what about the others?

What's the difference in these tracks? I listened and didn't notice anything.
(other than the big click in Spread Your Wings @ 4:00 being removed, which was already fixed in 2011 ... or are you being finnicky to the point of noticing fade-out being a half second sooner?)

"8 Good Reasons to Buy Greatest Hits II" is a promo cassette, similar to the Excerpts from The Works cassette and other promo tapes of that ilk, that has snippets of eight tracks from GH2, all running less than one minute.

Brian provides his spin and says the songs are different. That should be good enough for any stepford that buys Forever.

And the sound quality is that much better?

Well, to be fair, some of the songs indeed are different...
Lily Of The Valley, Love Of My Life and Play The Game are clean standalone versions, so he's not lying.
But these differences are pretty minimal, nothing stark like the bonus tracks in 2011 that had entirely different takes of songs.
"so he's not lying."
No - Brian is spinning ... and Freddie would be spinning in his grave if he were not cremated.

I think that the single version of ´39 is also found on the deep cuts
