I wish I had the money to buy it. And then, professionally, transfer it to digital and post it in QueenZone.

After that, send it to Sikke to maintain it in good conditions and don't lost the tape.

Wow, nice find.

Actually that's kind of cheap. The quality is nice too, the film was preserved well

Very interesting item, shame I blew all my monies on the upcoming tour and Live At The Rainbow.

Whoever ends up buying it, better not hoard it... Or share it in MPEG2

We should do a community crowd fund on stuff like this, something like the one done for the recent Queen In Nederland project. If 50 Queenzoners donated 2 bucks each we could easily buy stuff like this and share it here.

It's an forty year old silent cine film from a classic concert agreed.
Looking at the screen shots it looks pretty poor quality to me.
There is much better in the archives for sure and I really don't put much value on this to be honest.

Tell that to Zeppelin fans who lost their shit over 8mm footage of Knebworth 79 that's nowhere near as good as this.
Some people will collect dozens of sources of a single show, no matter how good or bad. And to have the actual master reel - this opportunity doesn't come up too often.
Tantalizing.

I take it you have seen the full silent footage then?
Led Zep footage was in the archives?

I'm just judging from the screenshots.
Yeah, pro footage of both complete Knebworth shows has existed for ages. And the 8mm footage created quite a buzz.

^ Screen shots sometimes give a false impression.
Plus you just know it's going to be jerky and full of cuts and with no sound.
Just my opinion, but like I say the whole gig is sitting in the archives.

Yeah, I hear ya.
But for a lot of people, every source has some kind of value. Especially when it's such an important show.
