Yeah, I hear ya.

But for a lot of people, every source has some kind of value. Especially when it's such an important show.
Didn't they do a short tour in 1980 before Bonham died?

Of course. And there are soundboard tapes of almost every show. But what does that have to do with this thread?

^ Screen shots sometimes give a false impression.
Plus you just know it's going to be jerky and full of cuts and with no sound.
Just my opinion, but like I say the whole gig is sitting in the archives.

How do you know the whole show is in the archives? Have you been inside the archives, have you actually seen the ENTIRE thing???
Judging from the screenshots, the film is in excellent condition considering it's 38-ish years old.

Regarding the archives, why not do your own research?
I'm not saying the cine film itself isn't in good condition, I'm commenting on the probable content.

We should do a community crowd fund on stuff like this, something like the one done for the recent Queen In Nederland project. If 50 Queenzoners donated 2 bucks each we could easily buy stuff like this and share it here.
Though perhaps difficult to organise, this would be a really good idea. That way it wouldn't just be one person forking out then everyone else getting it for free.

Looking at the screen shots it looks pretty poor quality to me.
There is much better in the archives for sure and I really don't put much value on this to be honest.
There is probably better quality in the archives, but that really doesn't make a difference. This is still a unique angle - a completely different document of the concert. I certainly think it's valuable for that reason, and still will be even if the pro-shot concert does end up coming out.

The buy it now price is a bit steep.. I wonder how long the footage is too.

It's an 8mm cine, so the footage will be about 4 minutes.

Hmm. Judging by the screenshots on the page, it shows a support act, then probably Bo Rhap (operatic playback and rock section) and some of Ogre Battle.

I think he's talking about the pro shot, and it's pretty safe to say it exists. The video has been out there for 15 years, just bad quality copies.

I think both Taylor himself and Rhys Thomas have confirmed they have it.

So this went for GBP 320,-
No-one knows how long it is, if there are any copies and how the quality of the filming is.

The seller knows how long it is ;-) and I would imagine they also made a copy.
The quality will depend on the person holding the camera, even so mid seventies technology in a large crowd dictate a pretty basic recording I think.
No sound either of course.

Thank you for stating the obvious.
