Do you think he would think it's in a sad state? Would he be a fan of Lady GaGa?
I often wonder how the music industry would be if he were still alive.

"What the fuck is this darling!?"
Well, he would appreciate some kind of music, and he would hate other kinds of music. Like he always did.
"Why are Brian and Roger touring with that GHASTLY shemale!"
Good God, Someone get them some contacts!
Where's my coke?

"Oh, shit all that crap again!?"
'So wake me up when it's all over.'
I think he would appreciate some of the pop scene, but some of it he would dismiss. He would understand and applaud the business sense of Lady Gaga and how she is capitalising on something a little different, but not so different from what has gone on before.
I think he would have explored different genres, depending what seemed popular and would have probably collaborated with a few younger artists.

He did dance music himself damnit. As if Body Language is any better than today's pop music. Pfft.
I think he'd like a good amount of the good pop scene (I know, "good" is subjective, but I think there's a general consensus of what "good pop" is today among Queen fans), and the current rock scene, which I think hasn't been this good since the mid-1990s.
I think it'd be the same case with Lennon if he were still alive.

He would be on tour with his all time favorite, Paul Rodgers doing a duo of Queen and Bad Company's greatest hits.
I think he would be polite, but privately think it's pants!
.... brains ..... brains .... braaains!
If Freddie had still been around then we would not have to put up with this shitty collaboration of Queen / Lambert.
Plus we would have some new brilliant proper Queen albums instead of the crap getting released now.
Freddie would have made a lot of difference if he were still with us all.

Freddie woulda liked a load of the stuff that the purists call "manufactured crap"....after all his Mr Bad Guy album sounded very synthetic.
Also I think he'd be long retired from making music and touring. he'd have probably give the Queen+ stuff his blessing - after all didn't he say something along those lines when he was ill?
what would he be doing now? probably have written and produced a queen musical called "The Show Must Go On...and On...and On"

I think Freddie would have liked certain artists, I think he would have paid a lot more attention to musical theatre and operetta in his own career, and I think he would still work with Queen.
It's hard to know exactly what the quality of his work would be, if or how he would integrate Queen's style with what's going on now (as it happens, I think a lot of it has come full circle, and rock is back).
I know he said in '86 'there comes a time when you can't run around on stage anymore', but I suspect he said that in the knowledge that he was ill, or at least might be ill. I suspect if he was alive and well, he would be touring once in a while. Queen would almost certainly have gone all out for the year 2000 celebrations, and they would have played as a four piece for Mandela (perhaps), and would probably have played as a four piece at the Queen's jubilee celebrations in 2002 and 2012, as well as the London Olympics.
I'm not sure he would be doing a Mick Jagger and doing these international tours anymore, after all, he'd be almost 70 years old, but he'd certainly do some quality work.
