im not sure if this has ever been raised, or mentioned in any capacity...anyway, ive been on a queen bender for months on end, taking in all their work and trying to define a commonality throughout their music.
i cant quite put it in to words other than to say Queen to me, seemed to write/record in a style where lots
(but certainly not all) of the songs were a "call to arms" or to stretch it further...their is something quite "military" about their music.
anyone agree or disagree? has something similar been raised before when describing their work?
just curious. i may be on my own, but thought id share.

I don't see it. But I think you'll have to be a lot more specific and provide examples if we're going to discuss this meaningfully.

Maybe the TC means a lot of Queen song are participative, and can put an stadium crowd to sing the same verses or clap along.
Songs like We Will Rock You, Tear it Up, Radio Ga Ga, We are the Champions...
These songs are not military at all, but from an outside point of view can be seen as a bit totalitaristic. But i think is a wrong impression.

doublepost, nevermind.

The press were at one point making the sensationalist claim that Queen was a fascist group, based on what Doga mentioned and the lyrics to One Vision. So, if that's what OP means, it's definitely an idea that's been voiced before, though I certainly disagree with it.

I think Brian used the words "Nuremberg Rally" in some interview or other. But I'm sure he was talking about audience reaction, rather than actual politics.

Both a Queen show and a Nuremberg Rally had pretty spectacular lighting, too. :P

An interviewer asked him about that after viewing the Radio GaGa clip. Needless to say Brian was not amused....
