I´m a 80s child, and I unfortunately don't like that 70s stuff. YOU had Rainbow, now it`s time for MY "80s outtakes" or simply call it "THE BOXSET" :-)

Greg, the Rainbow release is a real gem and we really thank everyone who contributed to the greatness of that project. It is amazing that next project which is as extraordinary as Rainbow is in the pipeline, I can't wait to see the press release and I hope that it won't be shelved/postponed. Could you tell us if it's something related to the 70's Queen era ?

It is a 70's concert, yes. All I'm saying.

Tips for "perfect" releases
- BBC boxset which will include all remastered sessions, the Golders Green Hippodrome performance, the Christmas 75 performance (complete) and the Live Aid performance on CD, and the XMas 75 show, the Live Aid show, all TOTP performances and as much of the Bob Harris footage as possible on DVD and/or upscaled BD
- Hammersmith Odeon 75 + 79 CD/DVD/BD releases
- Hyde Park 76 including all pre-show footage you have, maybe even the opening acts
- Earls Court 77 - 2 separate nights, don't combine them into one - CD+DVD
- Houston 77 - a merge of a new HD scan of the Bob Harris footage and an upscale of the old NTSC VHS footage, with all the backstage footage we've seen in various documentaries as bonus stuff
- a Live Killers box - you mentioned years ago you have several incomplete soundboard recordings of various LK shows, couple them with all the incomplete TV footage and you have again a perfect release
- Knebworth Park 86 - combine the DoRo footage with the colour-corrected audience footage (if necessary), add all DoRo documentary/backstage footage and sync it with the complete soundboard audio, and put it in a book with the hundreds of photos which are available
- a promo video Bluray boxset - containing every existing version of every single video which was shot from Queen between 1973 and 2014, of course all in HD, plus add all outtakes/behind the scenes footage
If anybody "important" reads this - anything from the list would be a bestseller
> Queen in Zagreb ,Croatia 1979 is somerhing we would never never hear...Maybe there is some recording but who knows.
What about Queen in Ljubljana 1979? Maybe someone has some kind of recording of that. :p Would certainly be nice to have.

And if you happen to pop back in here - fantastic fucking job on the 4LP vinyl! More of those please.
And if it's worth anything --> i think many of us would be very happy with an all anaolgue re-release of every queen LP..on vinyl...in non-remastered form while waiting... Beatles Mono Box LP set is the reference point. We will pay.
Agreed. Those vinyl re-releases would be amazing. Even getting stuff like Greatest Hits I, II, and III, Queen Rocks, and Queen Forever on vinyl would be great too. All part of one big box.

Shame you still had to display your bitterness towards some fans with the veiled "that's a good thing. Or should we not bother?" Remark.
Yes, Rainbow was a stunning product, a superb release up there with anything from any band. However, don't be happy to crow about the praise for it in interviews if you're then not willing to also accept mostly fair criticism of other, in places shoddy and poorly received, releases.
In fact the unanimously positive reaction to The Rainbow shows that fans are NOT just moaning about, or pointing out massive errors in, other releases just for the sake of it.
I am genuinely excited to see what coming next now the camp has set the bar so high with The Rainbow! :-)

Exactly!

The more cynical amongst us would be of the opinion that, with the Yuletide Season upon us, Greg has appeared here seeking a bit of love and attention........

So.....listening to the start of the podcast, the location of the Queen Archive is revealed, and we now know that it is held at Brian's house.
Also just want to add that a couple of minutes in Greg states that Let Me in Your Heart Again was a complete suprise when he heard it as he didn't know it existed and it 'wasn't written or listed on any tape boxes'.

Egh.. It's disappointing that a person who should be reputable spreads misinformation like this. Most would blindly believe it without knowing any better.

I'd love a big fat vinyl box like they did with the Beatles.

I'd love some more studio recordings.

Now that we know a concert is being planned, what are everyone's realistic hopes for? My dreams would be Earl's Court box set. But as we all know there are issues with Freddie's mic. Could this be fixed and if so how?
