What is the best show performed by the band in your opinions?

Best one I saw was Kampuchea, then Leeds '82, then the '78 ones at Wembley...

I always loved the 1st night at rock in rio.

For me it would have to be seeing them live in Providence twice. Once in 78 and the other in 1980. Those were the best in my opinion because at 13 and then at 15 years of age they blew me away both times.

ive gotta be honest i used to think it was Boston 76, but after recently seeing the Montreal 81 concert in 4K at the cinema, i have to say they all seem so energetic and on top form on that gig so i gotta say Montreal for me

Liverpool 1st night 79, Leeds 82 and Brussels 84 (2nd date) are my three favourites off the top of my head.
No idea where they stand in the pantheon of great gigs, but I can only pick from the ones I went to and I may think differently tomorrow.

I'm sure I've said somewhere before that my good memories are often about the day itself, rather than just the show.

I have 9 (I think) shows with Freddie to choose from, which in terms of all their shows isn't that many but I suspect it's more than most people on here.
(Which isn't a brag, it's just an acknowledgement that I was lucky)

I suspect Leeds in 82 would be considered a classic if there was any footage of it. It was livelier than Milton Keynes.
Freddie was particularly enthusiastic on stage that night and Brian appeared to be genuinely loving every second of it.
(That concert was originally going to be in Manchester, that's where I wrote off for tickets from the fan club, but the ones that came back were for Leeds because supposedly they couldn't get permission for Old Trafford even though they announced it)

Julian Cope hitting himself with bottles thrown from the crowd and just carrying on through the barrage... respect!.

None. I have neither the extensive knowledge or viewing time that many have had and only attended 1/2 of a Q+ gig.

I'd probably go with kampuchea, Houston (jazz gig) or a gig in Paris or Berlin that'd been used on the LIVE KILLERS comp.

Those set lists were epic.

Lol Wembudabwerth.

Houston Jazz gig? No such thing..........do you mean the 77 Houston show?

(seems odd that they wouldnt have played there on a US tour, but they did not!)

Good question. It's such a hard one to answer though!

I love Newcastle 1979. Oakland 1980 gets a fair bit of play, Copenhagen 1978 is awesome, Edinburgh 1982 kicks ass, etc.

Too many good shows to choose from!
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury
