I'm having problems playing the VOB file using Media Player Classic and small problems using VLC (especially the display time, it shows only 13 seconds)

Anyone with the same prob?

The mkv plays perfect.

Yep, it's a glitchy vob. Not sure how you can fix it though. Perhaps there are some mpeg fixing softwares that can correct headers or something.
Anyway, what I would try is this: demux the streams and mux them together again, possibly with audio stream re-encoded (maybe audio causes this. I've had such problems before).

I'm gonna try demuxing and re encoding the audio, thanks for the tip ;)

I just wondered how it got on the tape to start with.
Was it shown on TV or gained some other way?

Frankly speaking I don't know. I did a lot of trading in the past, and this version of KYA/Liar is one of the results. But I never asked my "business partners" about the origin of their recordings...
You always should ask. It's so important to know this stuff.

If these clips were sent to Elektra for promo purposes, they were probably shown on US TV at some point. I've seen more US collectors with these than anyone else, so maybe that's an indicator.... ?!

I have demuxed using ReJig and remuxed using Muxman and it worked perfect (without re encoding the AC3 audio stream)

;)

Here you have the torrent of the cleaned version, untouched by me, only renamed.
Enjoy!
The video bitrate is very high on the vob file. This may cause issues on some players, especially if you try to change the audio to lossless.

These clips come from a 2 inch video transfer to vhs mid 90's. They featured on a very well known Dutch bootleg VHS called " taking your breath away" by the miracle express.
