I was thinking, would it be possible to sync this video with the album audio, to eliminate the frequent skipping? It'd mean the video would need to be tinkered with slightly to elongate those spots where it cuts, so it wouldn't go out of time.
EDIT: On second thought, that'd mean the video would just freeze frame for a sec every now and then.. Not fixing it but substituting one grievance for another

I was trying to sync the "Liar" video with the japanese remaster audio, but the speeds are so uneven at different parts that it's becomiing a pain in the ass!

These clips come from a 2 inch video transfer to vhs mid 90's. They featured on a very well known Dutch bootleg VHS called " taking your breath away" by the miracle express.
That doesn't eliminate the possibility of other versions, though.
I know these videos were circulating in the early 90s, if not earlier. In the mid 90s I knew guys who had had them for years.

So did you ask them where they got them from then?

Nah. These guys were bootleggers and wouldn't talk. You just paid $20 for your VHS tape and that was that.

On Brewer Street itself, you can still see a faint triangular outline of where the TAP logo was higher up on the wall, when coming from both directions - and the hole where it was fixed to the wall! It was situated where Bills is now at 36-44 Brewer Street.... You can see it on the Lexington Street corner and on the Great Pulteney Street wall....

I've lost the point: did we come to the final conclusion if this is Brewer Street Studio or St.Johns Wood Studio?

Thank you very much, that's what I wanted to know.
You probably have that 2 inch video LOL!

The tape features several takes of this version. A different part can be seen at the beginning of the youtube link where the clapboard is shown
Amazing! How many takes in total? Are all of them complete and edited? Or some aborted and some only close ups, etc.?
