Nobody here is saying Adam is better than Freddie, that would be ridiculous. If Fred was still here there would be no need for Adam. In a world without Fred, Adam is the next best thing, clearly more suited than Paul Rodgers was.
We all would prefer to see Freddie up there but your gonna have to wait until the next life for that.

" You guys must of forgotten what Freddie was like."
Oh yeah, we must HAVE..........after all, I've only listened to him for 25 years, and he's only my favorite singer of all time..........I do realize, too, that because I like another singer must mean that I now think Freddie's crap.......

As Marknow says: Clearly more suited then paul rogers..
Adam is camp and sings high. Killer Queen and Who wants to live forever suits him best.
You and i would be better suited for him then f.e. I want it all. To bad they didnt totaly adjust towards his voice.

King of rhye - Totally agree it seem's so silly but it's not just Adam, although I really do think he's bad taste! for me it's just the last straw in the Queen camp (for want of a better word) it's all been going down hill for a long time now for me and the lambert things the last straw for me, will still enjoy listening to some of the music but just don't want Queen item's all over my house anymore.Roger & Brian really sicken me now and as daft as this sounds I just don't want to own Queen & related memorabilia & rare item's anymore! been a big collector since early 70's have shit loads of stuff - so now I feel the time is right while it may be still pretty valuable in price to get rid of now..Who knows this time next year there may not be many older fans/collectors left who look out for such item's. I've collected, bought sold & traded Queen rarer item's for many years thinking I would keep forever, but now I just don't feel I do anymore, specially seeing Brian & Rogers face on them (couldn't resist that)!!! prob keep some special Freddie and john item's but that's all. I'm not so sure the younger fan's would be into collecting item's as much as all us older dinosaurs did, and I really don't blame them, it can get pretty pointless.

Sorry guy's I feel worse now than before it started, it's put me right off Queen altogether now. Already started selling Some Queen stuff off, sold my prize blue bo rap with goblets scarf etc the other day already.Out of all my fav bands Queen were always no.1.. now they are way down below top 10...No offence meant just how I feel guy's...Only watched about 20 min's of Glasgow gig and that was all I could handle, felt physically sick.
You're gonna sell your Queen stuff off (that's QUEEN stuff, not "Queen + Adam" stuff) because you dont like what they're doing now? Your opinion of what they did 73-91 changes now?? Really???
I like Adam, but I can understand that some people don't.....thats just fine and dandy if he isnt your cup of tea, but wow........thats like someone in '82 saying they hated Hot Space, so they're going to get rid of their A Night At The Opera poster or something.........I just dont get that....
I thought St Anger sucked, but that wasnt going to stop me from wearing my Metallica t shirt, or listening to their old albums.......
It's Gerry under one of his many pseudonyms, trying to convince people that Queen's current activities are as bad as he'd like them to be. Teenager style attention seeking.
It's best that you ignore him.

I wasn't really on here much at all at the time of the Q+PR stuff......I'm guessing people weren't as divided about Paul as they were about Adam....or maybe they were but for different reasons?
It was just as bad, if not worse.
People were ragging on him because he was too masculine and bluesy sounding, and thus nothing like Freddie.
Now they have a flamboyant singer who fits the bill perfectly, and people are still complaining.
Go figure.

^^ What I wonder is how many of the people complaining then are the same people complaining now....

I'm wishing Roger and Brian happy time with this Adam Lambert figure. IT"'s Just not my cup of tea. Screams still to much, acts like a horny bitch on stage searching for asstraffic... . No, sorry .... For being rude.

"fits the bill perfectly" - I really don't think so, just look at how many pages the various forums here have generated when on this topic, this point alone deems AL far from fitting the bill.

I don't think "has the approval of everybody on a forum of diehard Queen fans" was what was meant by "fits the bill perfectly"......but then what about the fact that tour is selling better than the Q+PR tours, and getting rave reviews in the press?
(I think he meant the type of singer Adam is.......)

The experience with other bands shows that it doesnt matter what does the band do, nobody will be 100% satisfied.
Yes, Journey, Deep Purple and other bands shows that if the band replace a member with an impersonator, with someone with a personality of their own, or even if the band stops, some fans will complain.

What was it Mike Myers said about "pissing on a Picasso"?

It does make me laugh when you read what people say about Freddie on the internet, most of whom never saw him live, he made mistakes, sang bum notes and off key just like every other singer out there he wasnt perfect but he could put on a bloody good show. Lambert is young and energetic, he has a bright future ahead of him after this, my opinion has changed a lot, I think he was amazing at holding the crowd, respectful to Freddie and the band, he even thanks them in the tour programme again. I loved the show, would go back a hundred times, I hope they make an album and once again try new things, dont care if it sells lots or a few, I just love the sound they make. I wish Adam well for the future I own him a huge debt of thanks, finally I was able to take my daughter to a Queen gig and she could see why I love them so much. Without Adam this would never have been possible. So thank you. There is enough back cat stuff to keep classic Queen fans happy listening to that for years.. new Queen+ Adam Lambert fans will have some of the best show since 86 to remember.
I saw them in 80, 82, 84, and 86.... 84, 91(tribute), 2006, 2008 1984 was nowhere near as good as this show 2015 was and neither was 2008.
