I saw them on Sunday in London, and I did change my mind on Adam.

Let's just ignore for a while the idiotic, inane and repetitive comments by armchair critics who keep sounding the tedious tune of "you must have forgotten what Freddie was like". Most agree that Adam has a technically brilliant voice, but that it somehow didn't sound as good as it looks 'on paper'. I think he has improved with time, especially since he has been touring with Queen in the past months. He sounded very good on Sunday, and the impression I get from others is that he has been sounding great during the European leg of this tour.

Having seen Queen and him on stage, I've changed my somewhat skeptical ideas about the band and him touring again, and I now think they're doing a pretty brilliant job. And the audience seemed to love it. That's what Queen was always about - engaging the audience.

Will the tossers who keep saying he isn't Freddie just sod off? Who the hell said he had to be as good as Freddie to be good?

Real wizard: You are very wrong, (Queen2) is NOT me under a different name!
I agree with what he says though about the Lambert/ Queen hype.
There is no future in this ridiculous combo.
it is simply a way to get money and Lambert talks shit when he says the tour is to keep Freddies memory & music alive, well i have news for you all, Freddie Mercury does not need anyone to keep his music alive because he is a Legend,
and Legends never die.
Presley, Lennon, Hendrix, Mercury, will all live on because they made an impact on the public.
Lambert is nothing more than a money making Leech feeding from Queen and Freddies legacy.
Glad i still have money in my pocket rather than give an american xfactor contestant my hard earned cash.

I wasn't really on here much at all at the time of the Q+PR stuff......I'm guessing people weren't as divided about Paul as they were about Adam....or maybe they were but for different reasons?[/QUOTE]

It was just as bad, if not worse.

People were ragging on him because he was too masculine and bluesy sounding, and thus nothing like Freddie.

Now they have a flamboyant singer who fits the bill perfectly, and people are still complaining.

Go figure.

Was thinking about this... What if Rog & Bri do a gig named as QUEEN + PAUL LAMBERT, and then call Paul Rodgers and Adam to sing together?! It would be fun to see the fans exploding their heads. HAHAHAHAHA

(This gave me an idea, get some music that both Paul and Adam sang, and mix them together. LOL)

The first few concerts Adam did back in 2012? I saw the videos and thought he was ok, but had potential.
Now I think he's really good and I'm sorry I only went to one show on the tour last year (Montreal).
I've said before, but the current band and setup feels a lot more like a Queen show than Q+PR did.

I really enjoyed the shows with Paul but it never really felt like a Queen show, this does.
(And no I'm not saying it's better than with Freddie, I saw Queen plenty of times with Freddie and he was absolutely the best front man I've seen, but that doesn't negate this current tour being rather good)

Interesting how the newspaper reviews are so much better for this than they were with Paul Rodgers, I genuinely thought they'd rip them a new one for daring to go on stage and play the songs they wrote and recorded but it seems in general Adam is winning over the reviewers despite being almost unknown in the UK.

I should have put in there, tat I think Adam has grown a lot by touring with Queen. He's lot a lot of the excessive vibrato he had originally and whilst he does seem more suited to the poppier songs, he makes a damn good fist of the rockers.

In 2012 there seemed to be a huge amount of dislike toward AL when the first gigs were talked about, even before they played. At the time I was shot down for saying maybe give him a chance because he will sink and fly on his own merit.

I couldn't believe when the first gig was streamed in 2012 someone on here who I'd always thought was very intelligent spent the whole stream ripping the piss and claiming he shouldn't be there. They've since almost stopped posting anything while the current tour is selling out arena after arena for the first time since the 80's.

Lambert is a great front man for the band. It's great to see them out there doing what they do. I really think the Gerry's of this world set out not to like him, and no matter what he does they never will. That their loss because they are missing possibly the last or at least one of the lad chances to see Queen being Queen. I've been at every show in the UK and I would say a good 80 percent are long term Queen fans, and the other 20 percent have had a lesson in some of the greatest songs ever played.

No, I haven't changed my view, I do respect the fact what Brian and Roger do, it is their choice who is fronting the band. But the my days that I must see and hear the band are over. I have taped the Big Ben show, but I still haven't seen a minute of it. Again, this has nothing to do with me disliking Adam, as a matter of fact, on Facebook I have seen many pictures of the O2 show. Adam camp, Adam being too gay, Adam too much overdressed, so what? What I have seen on the pictures, there is nothing wrong with Adam his stage present. Maybe, just maybe I will watch the NYE show.

vocal harmony: My choice is i detest Adam Lambert, my standards are a lot lot higher than many on this forum, and when you said Queen with Lambert are closer to what Queen used to be well in my opinion Queen will never be Queen with out John Deacon or Freddie Mercury, so why lie to yourselves when the band is a skeleton of its former self?
I do not wish to waste my money on an alien singer, feeding of Mercury's legacy, i find it offensive and unnecessary and Queen as a band could still be massive without this hype of a tour with Lambert.
I have no regrets at all for missing this pile of dog shite.
There are other 70s groups out there now who are more entertaining than Queen & Adam Lambert.
As far as i am concerned Queen have crossed that line that says this is ridiculous and going nowhere fast.

Spot on, and not only that the current touring band is slimmed down to something more akin to the old days. No more rhythm guitarist and back up singers
