There's a huge difference between moderation and censorship.
In theory yes, but in practice moderation turns into censorship when you have a group whose personal opinion on anything (even as insignificant as the writing style of WKMahler) is considered the (un)official norm.
The last time I was at QOL, it was moderated by three middle-aged British men, whose idea of fandom was keeping complaints to yourself and buying all the official releases...
That's a just as scary an image as QZ run by a group of traders!

I can already see the new QZ rules in my mind:
"Absolutely no links or downloads to unofficial uncirculated concert recordings, demos, or any other rare material."
"Any poster breaking a personal (and secret) trader's promise to the moderators is immediately banned with no explanations."
...
Yes it would be worse ... although in reality, the traders already unofficially "moderate" this board through threats and intimidation.
But whats even worse ... they call "unbelievers" trolls. LOL.
Reading through that thread may result in your biases being converted to some form of comprehension and understanding. But we can't get too greedy, can we?
...
Yet when someone outside the inner trading circle does not share ... you make racist bigoted comments about Mexican Queen fans.
Unfortunately I cannot find your juicy generalized comments about Mexican Queen fans from a while back.

And the morons have come back in full force...
Maybe you still haven't come up with a new concert tape because you spend your time coming up with ad hominem attacks against those who do. What is it now, about ten years of this?
How many "thanks for the trolling; this is the greatest thing I've heard in years" responses have you received?
Well, they ARE ASSHOLES!
I have met them a few times, Im mexican (I dont know if my english is not good enough but last time I checked, "these mexican" wasnt an offence) and I can tell you that they see themselves almost as if they were more famous as the band itself.
I know many of them may be amazing guys (I have met another mexican Queen fans and usually they are nice people) but the guys who run that particular club are assholes. This is my experience and some other people may think that Im wrong.
As a side note, I know a few people from the radio, I was told a few years ago by one of the most important radio hosts Polo Alvarez, that a radio station got the rights for the audio recording at the Monterrey gig, but the tapes were lost. Also I was told the TV station that broadcasted the Queen show only were allowed to record the first few songs, so if any video exist, it may be from the audience. Considering there was an overbooking, Im not too sure about the quality of such videos (if they exist)

Now, about the link from the queenlive site:
The reason why Queen didnt played in Mexico city was because there was a ban for rock concerts because of the behavior of the people. Stuff like that happened a lot in other parts of Mexico. Johnny or Edgar Winter were once hit by a beer can in the second or third song of their set and the show was cancelled.
Mexican rock fans know that the 80s gigs from Mexican band El Tri usually ended in a huge riot, and there's that amazing incident involving a smoke granade in a Slayer show a few years ago... I can tell you that even today, some shows in Mexico city are dangerous for both the band and the people!

Except one never hears someone say "These Canadians" in a negative (or even positive way). The tone of "These Mexicans" as stated by Real Wizard is unquestionably derogatory.
I am relieved that Real Wizard is not a moderator on this forum, as he would "weed out" those he decrees as undesirables.
A former girlfriend of Bob referred to him as a douchebag ...

Goodness, this thread has gotten tremendously pathetic. Panchgani, it must be nice to have so much time on your hands to go through everything that Bob has written on QZ. And I'm sure no one in their life has ever referred to you as a douchebag or something the least bit negative; in fact, based on your keen precision of character assassination, you seem to be a stand-up guy who's never said anything remotely controversial. I applaud you! Keep up the stellar work!!!

Mmmhm. Discussion on whether members are good people or not probably ought to go in the Personal section, if it really must take place at all. Here, the quality of people's contributions is what matters.
