You mean Golders Green?

At the time of Made In Heaven, it was the plan to release the full set of BBC sessions over the coming two or three years, in 1996, 7 and possibly 8. Instead that didn't happen, and some of the already released tracks found themselves on the CD singles from Made In Heaven.

It's a bit of a shame that it never worked out, but perhaps now with a new record company..... nah, it probably won't happen.....

No loss, really.

Most of the best BBC tracks ended up as bonus tracks on the 2011 remasters, and we have excellent quality copies of all the rest.

About 15 years ago most of us hadn't heard the 4-3-74 versions of White Queen and Nevermore. You can only imagine how revelatory it was to hear drums and guitar on the latter for the first time.

True. Still I want an official release! :P

They should have at least put the BBC versions of White Queen and We Will Rock You on the 2011 remasters!

Uh........maybe not White Queen as much, cus its pretty much the same thing as the excellent live version they already had, but I would definitely trade the live version of WWRY (fast) for the BBC one!

The BBC version had been officially released and was available here for years, whereas the live version was only previously heard on bad sounding audience tapes. I'd say they made the right choice there.

And - that was the last time they performed the fast version of WWRY. I'm glad to have it.

I bought Queen At The Beeb on CD brand new in a record shop in Cambridge when it first came out in 1989. It appears to have been Band Of Joy's first CD or at least the start of their own catalogue sequence, since it is BOJCD001.

For many years At The Beeb has been my favourite Queen album, I like it more than any of the studio albums. The only thing that could compete for me is Session 6 with We Will Rock You, another awesome session. Such a shame the other sessions have no complete official release. And such a shame the howling guitar feedback intro to Ogre Battle was lost (not used, damaged, uninteresting, whatever) since the Pittrek restored version proves it was fantastic.

Only on audience tapes? Live Killers and Live At The Bowl have WWRY (Fast), as do the "We Will Rock You" / "Rock Montreal" DVDs. Or am I confused what we're talking about?

For me, the bonus EP was very poorly executed, first, to be named EP, only 5 or 6 or SEVEN?? And leave out many rarities , especially some of the BBC tracks.

Wait! WWRY (F) has been officially released?

Yes - I think it was on a CD that came free with The Sun newspaper in the UK to promote the WWRY musical?
