Also the fact of the matter is that a lot of Queen fans look at QZ with contempt and as a worthless place and they are right. With the shitload of stupid threads that are in this forum, they have a point.

This place absolutely has its flaws, but let's not forget that more unreleased Queen recordings have been made available here for free than any other place in the world.

If I understand correctly - you're siding with a guy who makes money off selling footage that he doesn't own instead of the people who searched for that footage and made it available *for free* to begin with (for him to "remaster" and sell).

Or am I missing something?

Is he the only one doing that? And I'm not only talking about Queen related stuff. You and I live in Canada. My father like Hernan lives in Argentina. My father tells me frequently that the country doesn't go anywhere and it's more and more dangerous. Hernan decided to elevate his condition by selling Queen stuff PART TIME to have a little bit more money. Is it morally correct? Maybe not. Does it makes him a bad person? Not at all...

There was a guy in Brazil Antonio Henrique Seligman who used to sell Queen stuff...he was reliable and okay. South America has particularities that we don't have here...

Rafael, you're missing the point. We could honestly give less of a rat's ass on the selling factor alone.
It's the fact that Snow sells deliberately shoddy product. They fuck with the mastering (and keep the untouched masters for themselves) and overcharge for their product as a result.
THAT is the issue here.

Seligman didn't purposely degrade the quality of his videos and post trailers to YouTube that were in better quality than the actual DVDs to mislead people into buying something that's worse than they thought it'd be. He didn't bother anyone.

And your rationalization is futile. With that logic, it's OK for everyone to make cash in on someone else's work if money is tight.

Exactly. I've never heard a bad word about him, and he's always seemed friendly enough, never had an issue with him.

I've heard pretty sharky things in the past about Hernan before on the other hand, going back several years.

You know, I overlooked his use of the phrase "somewhat good products." That's a real stretch there, you know.
Like I said before, to rephrase here in that context, the only 'somewhat GOOD' portion of Snow's products are the menus and the authoring job on the DVD's. The content itself is not so good after the crap he puts them through.
