You're in the minority on that one. If the majority of the people who tape shows would be upset about this kind of thing, then places like Dimeadozen wouldn't still be having hundreds of new shows posted every day.

Again, a false assumption. You can't possible tell if I'm in the minority simply because you (and I) have no hard numbers (facts) on how many people decide to NOT share their tapes. It's just a guess.
If you look at the facts, we are not talking about hundreds of new shows that surface daily.
At dime a dozen for example, you'll see that within the last 24 hours only 13 shows from 2015 have been shared. Only 1 video ( a pro shot), 1 webcast, 1 radioshow. That means 10 new audience audio recordings surfaced in 1 day. Mostly relatively unknown acts (for most people). No audience video recordings.
Also, most things that get shared on dime have been in trading circles some time before they eventually get shared. Most dime shares are older audience audio recordings that have been doing their rounds in trading circles for some time before they get shared eventually. Again, mostly audience audio only.
(Stealth audio + video is still not being shared much. Tapehead2 was an exception with her amazing work (her Roger Waters - The Wall blurays are fantastic, you should check it out). Believe me, I know quite a lot of tapers who think exactly the same as I do about this. Especially if they do audio + video at the same time. )

The "official announcement" of this release on 'Breakdown' Japanese bootleg label has appeared on a well-known bootleg collectors website:

Cunts. Now I'm afraid to share the stuff I wanted to share - I don't want these cunts to make money of it. Especially when 99% of stuff I shared here for free was bootlegged after a few weeks :-(

The irony is that folks on other sites have been saying Sheffield isn't a good recording (Hmmm. I thought it the best of all the audience 1974 shows), yet at least one bootleg firm has bothered.
Shame the artwork is shit and un-inspired.

Really? I would rate it as excellent or EX- but I didn't listen to it for a long time now

It's definitely at least B+/A-.
It's the best audience recording of the 1974 SHA shows by far.

Might have to do with the fact that people tend to compare these 70s recordings with todays standard. Most recordings that are made today are outstanding.
For a 70s recording the Sheffield tape sounds amazing.

Its not even a factory pressed one.

Bet Brian's Wig could have made better artwork too.
