no. you are wrong. in a nutshell you prove you are incapable of distinguishing between argument and homophobic abuse.
Gerry refused to ever have any of his "facts" amended or corrected by many people who knew the facts.
when corrected he then proceeded to be abusive to people. and any person would then react in kind.
btw - just because YOU didn't actually see the discriminatory post he made - doesn't mean his banning wasn't justified. there's a huge difference between posting provocational msgs and posting discriminatory msgs.
his post was hugely discriminatory - and in the outside world he'd have been arrested for it.
In fact, people HAVE been arrested and charged on twitter for the same.
the mods did exactly the right thing.
have to wonder why you would seek to defend someone who quite clearly was unashamedly homophobic - and proved this when his guard dropped.

Did I ever say that he wasn't homophobe, and when exactly was the last time I have defended him in any way? (I think you can find a neutral message defending him from your intentional provocations, but that's it.)
You took justice into your own hand provoking the argument, instead of raising the level of discussion. It makes you almost (if not just) as bad as Gerry, even if it's in a different way.
If there's anything wrong the majority of posters on QZ, it's the fact that they are more interested in petty personal squabbles instead of constructing rational arguments.

Beta, he has been following me here and there in just about any topic that somehow involves the obvious issues that we will never agree to see eye to eye on and always trying to find a convenient excuse to paint me exclusively as a bad guy any way that he can, and this has been going on for up to a few years now, especially when he was part of the trio who tried to gang up and bully me off the website for some time (only to earn serious rebukes from YV along the way) when the Fuller/Fanthology fracas first happened.
I don't expect him to stop the irrational self-victimization anytime soon, although it would certainly be appreciated the sooner that that would happen - but I won't be holding my breath.

1) a troll doesn't carry on without his audience
2) a hot-headed poster doesn't get worked up without provocation
3) a normal poster changes his tone or leaves if nobody answers him
