Tero, there's sparring, and then there is being just a negative asshole towards everybody for little to no justifiable reason, the latter which is where Gerry fell from the beginning.
You could say most of us have ended up sparring with him IF for the fact we have tried to reason with him and point out where he was wrong, and YET he insisted on staying his course of self-victimization even worse than Panchgani has (by a factor of two to three times at least) while ignoring the fact checking that was repeatedly being pointed out to him - and never apologizing for his wrongdoing ever.

Maybe you don't see it, but you're doing the same exact thing with Panchgani right now. Casually dropping his name and belittling him in unreated conversations, and then expect that he doesn't get worked up when you actually do respond to him directly.

If you want to provoke responses, you also have to accept that you might not like all of them!

I have a DS Lite (blue) which costed me a leg and an eye in 2011 + an R4i SDHC and a EZ-Flash 3in1 Expansion Pack (to play GBA games, it's like a rumble pak, and a memory pak for homebrews and emulators).

It intensified his responses <b>because</b> with the way his mind works, and I think the good majority of the board here would agree with me on this, ANY response that didn't toe the line according to his views were nasty nasty nasty responses that he chose to believe were conveniently vilifying him somehow. Even those which pointed out for instance the numerous times he intentionally misquoted or misattributed things to various users here.

If this is the product of a very narcissistic personality in Gerry's real life, the above truly would not surprise me then.
I really think Gerry should seek some professional counseling, for his own sake.

One thing I will point out is that, unlike Gerry I actually <u>have</u> apologized on numerous occasions where I let my responses get to be too much and admit wrongdoing. He has not <u>once</u> to my knowledge ever done the same. If he has, I would love to be proven wrong.

The same arguments aren't going to be repeated, unless there is something to provoke their re-appearance. It's up to you whether you want to provoke them or not.

Just saying, but if you're going to dole out advice, I'd hope you yourself also learn to act on it as well.
